The technician came out to do a prepaid hvac tune-up / inspection and planted a capacitor in my outdoor unit and claimed it was the wrong one and wanted $366.00 to install the correct $20.00 capacitor. A five minute job. I have him on video. Don't trust these guys in your home or business. They're scammers. Beware.

The “Comfort Specialist”, aka highly trained salesman, Jared Reeves was very professional and informative. He even came to my house on a Sunday to quote a new AC/furnace system, and he answered several texts with additional questions I had before signing the quote into a contract. The contract laid out, in very clear terms, what equipment would be installed and the labor involved. Unfortunately, that is where Jared’s communication stopped, despite his (and Eanes’) promise to make anything that wasn’t done correctly on the install or the equipment, made right. The day of install started early at 8am and ran long to 9:30pm. I was home the entire day, and I checked in several times to see how the progress was going. The installers were great, but I did have to question (and convince) them to replace the drain pan when they informed me they were not going to put in a new one. A new drain pan was included on the signed quote/contract, as the original was rusted in several spots and clearly needed to be replaced. After convincing them to do that, I noticed that the new return plenum and furnace drop which was included on the signed contract was not being done. When I questioned that, I was told that it was not included on the punch order. Jared (the salesman) and I specifically discussed the new return and plenum during his visit, as the inside of the original return/drop was quite dirty and dusty, naturally and perhaps the M-word (moldy). I did not feel the installers cut corners, but the new return and drop box promised by Jared and included in the contact were a hard “no, that wasn’t part of the plan” from the installers. I sent Jared a text immediately to inform him, but I did not ever hear back. The sale was done, and so it seems was he (despite sitting in my dining room with his sales pitch, promising that anything not done right would be made so, on his dollar if needed). I emailed Jared and Eanes Customer Service several times over the next week, and I got zero reply. I asked for a refund of the cost of material/labor on the return/drop that was in the contract and not fulfilled. Updated as of 7/30/2024 All issues have been resolved.

got the maintenance package from this company where they would come twice a year to check the heating and air conditioning and change the filter inside the house. The technicin Anthony Adkinson came and pretended he was checking our downstairs furnance which is located in the crawl space. after spending good 45-60 mins he came inside the house with immense concern on cracked heat exchanger and potential hazard of leaking carbon monooxide and told my wife to turn off the heating as his company wont take the liability if an unfortunate event occurs due to carbon monooxide leakage and offered to replace either the heat exchanger worth 4000$ or replace the whole unit for over 8000$ which was their labor cost as the unit is free under warranty. He also arranged the appointment with the comfort advisor Chris Louya to reevaluate the situation the same day. Chris Louya came the same evening and repeated the same drill as his collegue and spent 1-1.5 hours with us and suggested the same thing after checking the furnance. After getting the quote of 4000$ for the part i decided to get second opinion from an independant business which my friend hghly suggested, luckily the technician was avaiable the next day to stop by to have a look at my furnance. he checked everthing throughly and informed me that theirs nothing wrong in the furnance and the picture of the cracked heat exchanger that Eanes employe Anthony Adkinson provided us was not even my furnance and to our dismay he informed us that he saw a plastic bottle stuck forcefully in to the system's fan. This came to us as a great shock, we couldnt beleive how both of the technicians never saw or mentioned the stuck plastic bottle to us. they not only tried to overcharge us for a furnance part but tempered with our system to put our saftety in jeapardy. At my request that even if the part has to be replaced how much it will cost us. the independant technician told us that it would be less than 400$ which is for the labor. My friend who is also my neighbor had exactly the same experience with this company with exactly the same pictures of broken furnance part. which was a again false as per the independant technician. The purpose of this complaint is to make sure they don't try to rip off someone else's hard earned money and put their lives in danger or put them in great mental stress that we experienced. we were fortunate enough not to fell in their ilthy trap other innocent cictizens may not be. please note: After several attempts to attain the pictures of the broken/cracked heat exchanger they never sent me the pictures but i took the picture of the said cracked part from the second technician's

ALL POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS HEAD MY WARNING!! As someone who works in the HVAC supply business, these guys are out to rip you off!! My family members had an issue with their AC unit recently, and instead of contacting me first they called Eanes.(Big mistake) For a repair that should have roughly costed no more than $150, Eanes charged them $800. On top of that, they quoted replacing the compacitor and blower motor at around $2500! Compacitors are sold roughly for around $20 or so, and on average the blower motor typically ranges $150-$400 unless its a variable speed. Long story short, these guys were charging way above what they should, and taking advantage of people by doing unnecessary upselling. There are plenty of reputable companies out there, don't choose these guys!

Buyer Beware. This is a two-part complaint regarding Eanes from High Point, NC. 1) Eanes does not honor its warranty. The compressor on my 7-year-old Carrier Unit purchased from and installed by Eanes went out over the Christmas holidays. The part was under a 10-year warranty. Eanes sent out service people who quoted $4,040.16 for the replacement of the part which I thought was outrageous since the part was under warranty. I got another quote from a local HVAC provider for the part and installation of $1,400. This provider was not a Carrier dealer. After numerous calls and a big runaround an Eanes manager finally admitted the price for installation and replacement of the compressor should’ve been around $2,000. I ended up going to with the other provider for the replacement. 2) Eanes was not forthcoming about the limitations of its mini split systems. My further dealings with Eanes have also been a very expensive disappointment. I had two Mitsubishi mini splits installed 2 years ago which cost a little over $11,000. Over the Christmas holidays when the temperature got below 20 degrees, they sent out cold air. Everyone had to wear coats for Christmas dinner. When an Eanes technician came to look at the units, he told me they do not work below 20 degrees. Had I known this to begin with I would never have purchased these very expensive units.

We woke up Christmas Eve with no heat and it's in the 20s outside. I contacted Eanes Heating and Air, through Angi. They called me back and scheduled an appointment for between 2:00-6:00. This was followed up by a text message, which I still have. No one showed up, no one called, and I was NOT able to reach anyone on the phone! I'm very upset, now it's Christmas day and we still have no heat and no chance of receiving service. Eanes cost me precious time that I could've used to find someone else, now I'll have to wait until Monday or possible Tuesday before I can find anyone to service my furnace. I would NOT recommend them, I find them to be very unprofessional! Tracy Kline

Gary arrived at the front end of the appointment window! (I'm used to techs arriving at the end or late.) He listened to my observations, then checked out the unit, immediately locating the problem. He replaced the capacitor, and voila! everything works! I chose Eanes based on reviews, and wasn't disappointed at all.

Heat pump stopped working. Technician said I needed a part and it would take 2 or 3 weeks to come in. Someone would call to set up an appointment when the part came in. Technician did do a temporary fix so I would have air conditioning. That was May 18th. I have called 3 times since then and all I get is they will check and get back to me. It is now Aug and I am still waiting for the part to be installed.
Response from Eanes Heating And Air Conditioning
"We apologize you did not have a great experience with us. Your part has been ordered and we will call as soon as it comes in to schedule the repair. Thank you for your patience with us."

It went very smoothly. The technician was professional and on time. He answered all of my questions and explained to me what he was doing and why and how I could keep my unit working well. I also could tell that he knew what he was doing. It was a very positive experience.

This was a big project to replace an aging oil furnace with a combination gas and air system. Also the 65 year old steel ductwork was replace with insulated ducts. The installation crew did a great job crawling under the house to remove the old equipment and ducts. The new unit has not proven itself yet (give a few years) but I plan using the company to maintain it on a yearly basis. Only had a few issues. The building inspector had a few issues but they were cleared up (normal for such an old house). There was some clean up under the house (I like keeping the crawl space clear of debris). Vapor barrier was damaged but that was expected.

OK. I said I would hire again, but it's really a maybe. Ever since the technician left, it seems like the heat pump hasn't shut off & I need to call the original installer since it's still under warranty
Response from Eanes Heating And Air Conditioning
"Ms. [Member Name Removed], thank you for the review. In extreme cold like we are experiencing the first week of 2018 it is normal for your heat pump to run longer than normal. Also newer equipment runs longer but not as hard to increase efficiency. Please call with any more questions you might have. Thank you."

The mechanic came, called in advance - all good. Since we were having some issues with the heating, he checked & informed that a part needs to be replaced. He promised to send me a proposal for the part & service. But nothing. Next day called their office, informed them the details, and that I was waiting for the proposal. They promised to follow up with the technician immediately. It is 3 weeks now, nothing ever happened. Result: Wasted time with Eanes and now have to start all over with another company. Would avoid companies with such casual attitude towards clients.

I had a standard Fall tune up on my furnace. Eanes called to see if they could show up about 30 minutes earlier than the original appointment. Scott was knowledgeable and helpful; he showed me a few areas that may need some work or keep an eye on. I would recommend Eanes for heating and AC needs.

Pre sales contact and installation went well. Had problems after installation and at first their response was good. One of the managers said they needed to rebuild the air distribution box and he said he would call to schedule a time to complete the work. He never called. I called and he was on vacation. A different manager came out and had a new register installed and that was supposed to solve the problem, and he said a new distribution box was not necessary. By the time this was done, it was so late in the cooling season that I really won't know if the issue is resolved until next summer. I'm hoping that there are no more problems.

It was $5540, minus $100 discount from Angie's List. We had no issues afterwards. My home was slightly bigger and they tried to get a larger system in, but there was some issues with the duct work that was hooked up. I don't think it was really their problem, it's just that it took much longer on this house.

On the second unit, the inspector came in and they had issues with how they hooked up the stuff. They came in again and they still had issues, so they had to come a third time. It just seem to drag on much longer than it should have.
