Duggins Heating And Cooling

This company is fantastic. I have used them for the past 7 years since relocating to North Carolina and they have always completed the work in a timely, cost effective manner. We have had the privilege of working with the same Service Tech. (David) that entire time. In my experience as a homeowner (35+ years) that is unheard of. David is on time for appointments (or calls is running late or early), quickly responds to emergency heating/cooling situations, and looks for repair solutions that will take care of the issue for the least possible cost. It is reassuring to "know" your tech. and have a good feeling about the job he is doing. We also have an annual service agreement with Duggins. We have two furnaces (one electric and one gas) and two a/c systems. Their annual service fee, in my opinion, is very reasonable. He spends whatever time necessary to do the job right. Our home was new construction and in the first couple of years we had a major repair to the system. Duggins did not do the original install but reached out to the manufacturer to make sure that the warranty work was covered. This may not seem like a big deal, but I was not aware the unit was still under warranty, and would have paid for everything - I do not believe all companies would even check about the warranty. I have no reservations recommending Duggins based on 7+ years personal experience with them!

The technician cleaned and calibrated the air conditioner. He pointed out that we had a part that was aging and could possibly fail at any time. He asked if we wanted to replace it. We told him to do what he needed to do to get the air conditioner working at full capacity. He quoted a price of $132. After checking our account, he returned to tell us that the part is covered under the 10 year warranty. He was very thorough and meticulous with his work.
We have dealt with Duggan for 8 years and had our unit serviced spring and fall each year. The office always communicates with the customer and let you know when the technician is on the way. During the eight years, all the technicians were knowledgeable, professional and  are always very polite. They wear shoe covers when in the house and leave their work area clean.
Highly recommend Duggan.

Contacted Duggins about developing a strategy to repair or replace aging heating equipment in our home.
They developed a plan that was a reasonable cost.  They were attentive to our requests.
Installed a new system for the downstairs zone and repaired the upstairs unit.
New unit performs well and is a great improvemtn compared to old unit.  Our gas bill dropped a lot.

Duggins was prompt, professional and very helpful. They came out on in the morning and for $300 our AC was repaired a couple of hours later. We'll always call Duggins.

We had a new unit installed on 7/18/14. The appointment was scheduled for early morning, they were here on time. The work was done on time with professionalism and great attitudes.
This is where things could've turned into a nightmare. An accident occurred that caused some costly repair bills. We called Sassy Logan, who's great, she was on the case like a cheap suit and Dave was here that afternoon, took pictures etc. We were assured from the start that this would be taken care at once with no charge to us.
The next day we got a call from Mr. Duggins who again said we were covered. Later, the same day, the company's insurance company called, got our information and said they'd be in tough soon. Less than 12 days later we had a check in hand.
Duggins will be our company of choice for any work done to the AC or Heating in our home.

I called their office at around 9am today, spoke to Sassie Logan, who checked the work log, and after finding we live in Green Valley said she a man who would be in our area 3 hours later, around noon. At 11:30 I got a call from "David" saying he'd be at the house about 12:10... He was a minute early.
After inspection he said a capacitor had failed and that it should fix the air, at least short term. The air conditioner is the original equipment from when the home was built in the mid-60's. David was very professional, easy to talk to, and engaging. I'll be calling this company with any future needs in this area.

The day the estimator was to arrive I received a telephone call from the office stating the estimator had called in sick and would try and reschedule for the next day. The estimator did come the next day, however he was two hours late and he nor the office called to let me know he would be late. When I called the office to inquire if he would still be coming, the office stated the time she had given me was just an estimate as they never knew how long each job takes. I let the office know that I should have been given a time frame and not a specific time. The office stated they should have been more specific and did apologize. The estimator did show up two hours late and went over what I needed done. I was told the estimator would give me a call and let me know the estimate for the job. However, three days went by and I never heard a word. The next Monday I did call the office and let them know I still had not received any estimate. The office notified the estimator and asked that he give me a call. He did call with a verbal estimate, but never sent me a email or snail mail with actual cost broken down. I decided that this company would not be one that I would work with due to the unprofessional manner in which I was treated.

Very well; tech was knowledgeable and professional, very helpful, helped troubleshoot a blower issue we had as well. Freon price seemed a tad high. Other than that, all good.

Final is I now have a new provider.  And, funny thing is, one of the employees  "used" to work for this company.  Comes back to get you in the end after all.

This was my third service call using Duggins.  Dave is FABULOUS!  He takes great care on all work done on my father's A/C.  Fast, prompt and professional.  Thank you Sassy, Dave & Team Duggins.

They were courteous and professional. I was satisfied with them.

I called them and told them what I wanted and she seemed to understand. They sent someone out and he got under the house. I could here him under there. He was up under there for a while and he fixed my duct work. That was that. I had some duct work that had fallen in my crawl space and they attached it back to the register. He was wonderful. He was very nice and professional. I did think the price was a little high. In the fall they will be coming to service me again. Everybody in the office was very nice. I was impressed with them and they did not try to push anything on me. I would use them again.

I contacted Duggins, in addition to numerous other heating and cooling companies, to obtain an estimate on replacing my entire HVAC duct system.  Having had some issues with it over recent years and doing quite a bit of research, we knew we were ready for better insulated flex duct, better air quality, and a more comfortably conditioned second story in our Cape Cod home.

David Mitchell was my service consultant.  He was very patient and thoughtful when responding to any of my questions, as well as providing thorough responses.  He listened to the issues that I told him we wanted to address, and very adequately proposed possible solutions.  He did not try to 'sell' me on anything I wasn't conveying I wanted, and offered his professional opinion on how to achieve my desired outcome.  Once provided with the final proposal, I was very pleased.  It came in quite a lot lower than the #2 company I was also considering.

My only additional consideration was to be assured that there would be no possibility of any sort of contaminant(s) left within my duct system / heating and cooling unit.  I had done some research on this issue, and David was more then willing to look over some internet links I sent to him regarding EPA approved sanitation products, etc.  To address these concerns, Duggins sub-contracted with The Duct Doctor to come on site to sanitize the one return box they were unable to replace, in addition to the blower, coil, etc.  I was not only very pleased that they made the effort to do this, which ultimately won them my business, but I was also very impressed with Jim Gehling, of Duct Doctor of the Triad.

The crew of three technicians that completed my job were timely, polite, and efficient.  They were thorough, cleaned up after themselves, and went to fairly great lengths to assure that my flex duct that ran through a chase to the second-story was completely removed and replaced.  Instead of cutting a whole into my wall, one of them was very resourceful and created a sort of internal ladder to access the chase, then climbing up inside to cut a whole slightly larger through the floor above so that they could pull the new flex duct down into the crawl space.  This saved me the additional work of replacing / repairing drywall!

I was VERY please with the estimate, the crew, and the work that was completed.  I will likely be switching my seasonal inspection contract over to them.  I would not hesitate to recommend Duggins Heating and Cooling to anyone. . .

This was an exceptionally good experience. To begin with, I had to change our original appointment time. When I called their office, the woman was cheerful and friendly and gave me a new appointment for exactly the time I wanted. 

When Dave came out, he too was warm and friendly, but it was clear that he really knew his stuff. He looked over our aging AC, discussed options for the future, and then performed some small fixes on the system without any additional charge. Our total bill was just the $69 basic charge. I was astonished, because it didn't go like that with the company we hired last year. I should mention that the $69 was a special that they're having, but apparently their regular rates are lower than most. Low prices and good work are a combination you can't beat. This is a great company.

Overall the experience was good. We have a 3200 square foot home and the electric bill for July was $125.00. We kept the thermostat on about 75 degrees. The Geo Thermal system is wonderful. There were a few delays but most of them were due to our general contractor. 

I called and was quoted a $99 base price for a full system check-up.  The serviceman arrived on time and did the job.  He found nothing wrong and charged me exactly the quoted price.  We discussed a new digital thermostat and he quoted me a price fully installed.  I told him I was going to hold off on the thermostat until fall and he did not pressure me at all.  Great service.

Once again Duggins came to our rescue in record time and in their consistent unmatched professional prowess! We awoke the morning of December 8th to discover our heater was not working. Not the best thing to wake up to when its 10 degrees outside! A quick call to Duggins and we had everything back up and running in no time! I was very impressed how quickly they were able have us scheduled, repaired and, backup and running. Thanks again Dave! Best HVAC Tech ever!

Absolute perfection! David arrived 10 minutes early. Very clean, professional, friendly, and efficient. David had the new regulator installed and tested in less then an hour. I love these guys and highly recommend them to everyone who needs any type of HVAC work. They also have an awesome maintenance plan where they inspect your heaters and AC units each year. Great job Duggins! I've found my HVAC company for life!

The entire company was polite and efficient. The work was performed very close to the time frame they promise, and the system is working well. I had to call them back one time for a connection that lost it electrical connection and they can out and repaired it very fast. As part of their customer satisfaction program, the check back to see how the system is perofrming. They've made a couple of those calls already.
