"I was calling around trying to find someone that could come and do some Millings on four parking spots in the driveway and a culvert and couldn’t even get hardly anyone to call me back and Davis paving messaged me right away. We explained what I needed done and he was very prompt courteous and he even fit me in on my very tight schedule I had and made arrangements to come over in a couple days and got the job done in one day. His whole crew was very polite willing to go the extra mile and help out with things I needed. I was very happy with them. "I cancelled a job I put a deposit of $10,826.95 down for because the sale of my home fell through. I cancelled on June 13th and I still haven't received my refund as of 8/19. We have reached out on 3 separate occasions. My wife and I have been told different stories by different people as to what happened, but not much of it is adding up. After holding our deposit for over two months the manager said-- "We cannot do anything more to compensate you." Apparently, it is being overnighted this evening. Sadly, my advice is to proceed with caution. I give 2-stars because they apparently still have the money to refund me, it could have been worse I suppose."

"The overall work went well. However, there was a defect in the concrete near our front door, in plain site, and very visible, where the concrete was cracked and broken just days after the project was completed and we had paid in full. We called multiple times and never received a return call. We then sent an email which he returned and set up a time for repair. This repeated itself for 3 separate events, with the patch failing every time. The last time we heard from him was 4 months ago when he said " I will be glad to come out and address the issue. I will contact you when I have a date." That was in July! Based on their poor customer service, after being paid $36,000, I would not recommend Cane Creek Concrete to any of my neighbors or anyone else."

A driveway with less than a 1% slope increases your likelihood of flooding and water damage, while a driveway with a 15% grade or higher can be too steep for safe traveling.

If you’ve researched everything there is to know about gravel driveways and aren’t sold on the idea, you have options. Gravel alternative materials for driveways include traditional options like concrete and asphalt. If you want the look of natural stone, stone pavers are another option that sometimes uses gravel around the pavers. For maximum drainage, permeable driveways or brick driveways are also popular choices.

Asphalt can get sticky in high temperatures and intense sunlight and is better for cooler or moderate climates, while concrete is more likely to crack in colder climates where water can seep into the slab and freeze. Asphalt requires more maintenance in terms of sealing, it has a slightly shorter lifespan, on average, and it’s a bit more expensive to install. Concrete will last longer with less maintenance, and it offers you more options for customization, including staining and stamped patterns. As such, a concrete driveway adds to home value more than an asphalt driveway in many cases.
