"Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "The project went really well. The price wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive estimate I received. Using 8 tons of heavy steps, the crew laid a beautiful walk and steps from our driveway to the bottom of our yard. Then they installed a planting bed and mulched it all. They worked by hand on a hillside for over 3 days. It looks really great, and I know we will enjoy it for years."

"Jessie and his crew were efficient, timely and did a very good job pressure washing our house and sanding/staining of our large porch and deck area. They did a great job on our driveway that was very dirty. All the crew were very courteous and friendly. All in all, I was very satisfied with their work."

"I hired Next Vision Services LLC to take out some trees & do grading work. AMAZING! When I called to schedule a quote, Martin was there within 2 days, at my convenience. After reading their reviews and seeing some of their work, I almost cancelled the appointment. I knew they were out of my price range. To my surprise, they most likely gave me a better price than any other contractor could have. They were so reasonable, that I thought 'you get what you pay for'. You pay when the job is finished! I was on his schedule the very next week! I'm so very thankful for Martin & his crew. The work never stopped. Showed up with skill, experience & over $1 million in equipment. They completed my job in only 2 days! They went above & beyond, even in the clean up. Planted grass & covered with straw at no extra charge. Can't even tell where the trees were cut down! So many wonderful things to say but review has a max. Can't praise them enough! Call with confidence, they won't disappoint!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

If your driveway is cracked, you can repave it with a process called asphalt overlay. Overlay is more cost-effective than a full replacement but is better suited for minor cracks and issues. If you have major cracks or other problems like water pooling, asphalt overlay isn’t your best bet. Plus, paving over a cracked driveway only extends the lifetime by about 10 years, whereas replacing it would start the clock over completely to give you up to 30 years.

The answer to whether or not you need to get a permit before you start your driveway can vary widely based on local ordinances and the scope of your driveway ideas. In most urban and suburban areas, a permit is needed before building a new driveway to ensure that a homeowner is using safe materials and proper drainage practices while designing and constructing a new driveway. In some rural areas, a homeowner may not be required to apply for a permit. When building a new driveway on your own, always check with your local building department to see if you need to request a permit. When hiring a driveway contractor, verify that the right permits are being used before driveway construction begins.

While the specific timeline for building a driveway can vary based on driveway length and local weather conditions, the average concrete driveway can require several days to lay down all of the different parts of the driveway. The curing process may require you to avoid using your driveway for a week following construction. Heavier vehicles should be kept off of a new concrete driveway for several weeks. Building a gravel driveway may take just one to two days in total.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

The choice between asphalt and concrete depends on your priorities, budget, and climate.

Concrete is generally more durable, lasting up to 50 years with minimal upkeep, and offers more customization options like staining and stamping, which can add more to a home's value. However, it is more expensive upfront and can be prone to cracking in cold climates where water can freeze and expand.

Asphalt is typically cheaper and quicker to install and is easier to repair. It performs better in colder climates. However, it requires more maintenance, including regular resealing, has a shorter lifespan, and can get hot and sticky in intense sunlight.

Ultimately, if durability and long-term value are key, concrete is often the better choice. If upfront cost and performance in cold weather are more important, asphalt may be preferable.
