This Company, headed by Patrick Stollenmair, did another fine job. Patrick is knowledgeable and easy to engage. He has a terrific crew which did the work in a most efficient manner. Price is fair. And, their repair work after digging was superior. This is one fine Company. Second time we have needed them this year. Both efforts were outstanding.

I was very impressed with Patrick Stollenmaier and his crew. Patrick was very helpful, giving us alternative choices re materials to use for the patio and design. The price detailed exactly how they would execute the job (very helpful when a design has to be approved by the condo committee, as ours was!) He and his entire crew showed up exactly on time every day and worked until the tasks scheduled for the day were complete. They were very professional and polite and answered all of our questions or referred us to the crew member who could. Each day, they left the work site neat and clean. We love the patio and walkway that they created for us and neighbors have gone out of their way to tell us how much they like it, too. My only complaint is that initially Patrick was a little slow getting the price quote and project sketch to us. However, the fact that the crew showed up when they said they would, did the work in a completely professional manner, and finished the job on schedule far outweighs that complaint. We would definitely use Stollenmaier Hardscapes again.

Pat, Jim, and his team were a pleasure to work with. Jim designed our space and designed it with all of the features we wanted. Each work day, they arrived to the job site on time and worked **** ** our job. After the job was completed, Jim came by our home to check the patio after it had rained to make sure there weren't any spots that needed to be fixed. We never had any issues during the construction and would strongly recommend them to everyone. They stand behind their work and do a great job.

It was excellent. It turned out nicer that I imagined. They workers were very friendly. Pat Stollenmaier, the principle, was very helpful on working on the design and was very interested in making sure the finished design was what I wanted. We had quiet a bit of rain so the work got delayed but not because of anything they could control. I plan to use them again in the future

The project went really well. The price wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive estimate I received. Using 8 tons of heavy steps, the crew laid a beautiful walk and steps from our driveway to the bottom of our yard. Then they installed a planting bed and mulched it all. They worked by hand on a hillside for over 3 days. It looks really great, and I know we will enjoy it for years.

I requested 6 quotes from local contractors. While Patrick Stollenmaier was not the cheapest, his plan was quite detailed and added a secondary wall 6 ft in to ensure the land was usable for a raised bed garden and lawn area on the upper segment. While the start was delayed by a couple of weeks, the work done was exemplary. At 80 ft long, the crew had limited space to work but all was coordinated with me and neighbor. Some of the details included ample 'deadmen' to better secure the wall to the hillside, much gravel for adequate drainage as well as downspout drains directed to the street to drain rather than draining into neighboring yard. The crew cleaned the site daily and, when finished, spread straw and grass seed on the lawn areas and applied sufficient mulch on the garden site.

We were thinking of expanding a patio behind our house. Their estimate was a little bit higher than what we wanted to spend, so we decided to table it for the time being. The price was a lot more than we thought we wanted to spend for what he was presenting. He didn't really do anything. We called them up, we said, "We're thinking of doing something down here." He didn't get us excited about doing it. In the end it was more than we wanted to spend once he finally gave us an estimate. He arrived on time.

we loved the work.  everything was on time and professional.  the idea was collaborated with my wife and i.  deck was extremely well built.  we originally wanted pat for a hardscape, but ended up with the deck idea.  will definitely use in the future if we need any hardscape work done

First of all, I used Patrick and his crew last Fall to fill in an outdated koi pond.  They did an excellent job so knew at that time I would continue working with them.  They always call ahead, always on time and an extremely efficient and friendly group to work with.  

They removed the old out-dated shrubbery along the entire front length of my home.  Removing the roots after cutting down.  This left a clean slate in which they planted 14 appropriate size bushes which will do well in the full southern exposure.  No clipping involved as they get larger which I had to do with the older bushes. They also planted close to 100 liriope plants.  3" of mulch was added to cover this area.  My brick walk had many sunken bricks and a rusted metal paver was raised out of the ground which was suppose to hold the bricks in the walkway from sliding around.  Patrick and his crew removed the metal strip, installed the correct plastic locking pavers and redid most of the bricks which are now even and safe. It looks beautiful and neighbors have added their approval.  Completely different picture compared to what I had to deal with before.  He knows his stuff!!!

Will continue working with this group.  Tops on my list and I have had many contractors to know.

He took time with me before the job to find out what I wanted done and he gave me excellent advice.
They did a great job.  Really worked hard getting boulders removed, drains in place before filling in.
They were careful with equipment not to tear up my yard.They always called ahead and were always on time.  
Great group to have in my yard.  They worked hard, efficiently and quickly completed the job.
Will use them for landscaping in the future.  

Pat and his crew just completed the work on my new flagstone patio.  They did a beautiful job with great attention to detail.  Even the estimate was very detailed so there were no surprises.  They also were very sweet and patient with my dogs which I appreciate very much.  I love my new patio!

Pat Stollenmaier does a careful job, and has a good understanding of both drainage and hardscape skills.  He and his crew are careful of the surrounding landscape, setting aside flowers and replanting them.. They use a transit to check slopes and get the angles right.  I was especially pleased that they were able to reinstall the walk with the same curving pattern it had before.  They are also very organized in how they store their tools overnight until the job is done.  They automatically come back a few days later to sweep in more fill between the pavers as it settles in.  I found Pat very easy to work with as he both listens to what you want and has helpful ideas for you to consider.

Patrick rebuilt a pond that a different contractor did 8 years ago.  We were never totally excited about the original.  The original had deteriorated to the point that either we have it rebuilt or fill it in and landscape it.  I got several bids and picked Patrick because I felt comfortable with him.  I was not disappointed.  The final result was awesome at a great price.  The true test of a contractor is how they respond to a problem.  A leak appeared a couple of days after they were through.  I called and the next day they were there to fix it.

Pat Stollenmaier and his crew were very professional.  His estimate was detailed so we knew what to expect.  They had to deposit stones, etc. for under layers on the street and ferry them to the back of the house. They were careful to use cones at the street and cleaned up each evening to leave a safe condition.  They worked long and hard, cutting pavers and fitting them for the curves in the walkway.  I especially appreciated that they reused old pavers by mix.

These men were not only professional but friendly asking before each step how I wanted it to look.  In addition, they worked in drizzle and rain.  When it rained too hard, they stayed in my garage, and then when it went back to drizzling, they were back at work.  They worked steadily from 9 a.m. to 1 pm and stopped one hour for lunch.  They stayed in my garage to eat lunch and even though I told them they could use the 1/2 bathroom on the first floor, they rarely did so and cleaned up after themselves even taking their shoes off before coming into the house.
These were the hardest working men I have ever seen especially Lee and JT.  Logan and TJ did well also, making sure they did a full days work. 
Each day, they cleaned up the work site and used a gas blower to clean the stone dust out of the garage and the area where I was going to be.  At the conclusion of the job, they hosed all patio furniture down, as well as the side of my garage that got splashed with stone dust and water from the wet saw.
I was so pleased with these guys that I cooked them lunch and let them eat  in the breakfast room, right off the patio.  It was an especially hot and muggy day, so they enjoyed their lunch in air conditioning.
I would highly recommend this company and these men for any type of work they do.

Everything went according to plan. Patrick and his crew were curteous, on time and skilled. Great job overall.

Patrick was a gentleman and arrived on time, reviewed scope of work and gave ideas as to how to ameliorate drainage problems, and reviewed steps that he will take to excavate and install new underlayment and usage of existing stone to keep costs of new materials to a minimum.

Overall they were very knowledgeable. They had great ideas and performed the job right. The ending result turned out nice. I was impressed with their thorough clean-up. I am considering them for an upcoming project as well.

In a single word - excellently. Patrick was one of two people I interviewed to do this work on a house I was renovating for my daughter. The water feature was in extreme disrepair  and the fish miraculously surviving in a murky pond because the house had been abandoned for almost a year. Originally I awarded the job to the other firm because they were less expensive, even though I felt more comfortable at a personal level with Patrick. Without going into the whole story, I eventually came back to Patrick before the project started.
Patrick gave me honest answers about the costs of running the pump (the other guy didn't), options for minimizing those costs, and two design choices. I picked the more expensive and I'm glad I did. Throughout the process, he communicated well and promptly (the other guy didn't). He showed up on time and, except for a weather-caused delay, finished the project on schedule. There were no cost surprises. He took great pains to protect the fish and most of them survived. He's also made a strong effort to teach my daughter and son-inlaw how to maintain everything.

I was so pleased with the work Stollenmaier Hardscape did on this project that I hired them to prepare and execute a landscape plan at our house in Biltmore Lake. There will be a separate glowing review of that project when I have time.

Punctural.  Reasonable estimate and price.  Great quality work.  Provided insight on wall structure.  Left us with a better wall than before the damage occured.
