J & J Tile and Stone started out in 2003 by two brothers, James and Joe Berthiaume. We started out by working under a well known, tile and stone professional who has been in the business for more than 17 years. Through him we have gained the knowledge, the know-how, and the expertise that have made us stand out from other tile and stone installers. Some of the projects we have worked on are but not limited to: HGTV's Bath Crashers, Homes By Chase now known as Mattamy Homes, Luxury homes in the Mdewakanton Indian Reservation, Katherine Taylors Homes, Metro Classic Homes, Ohana Construction, and for Randahl Construction. J & J Tile and Stone started out as a subcontractor that later developed into it's own booming business. We take a lot of pride in our work which shows through our quality workmanship and beautiful results. Because of that, we have had a lot of success and a great rapport with everyone we work with.

A typical repair of an igniter can range from $100 to $150. However, if you need to repair your mantel, expect the bill to be anywhere from $500 to $1,200. In addition, gas fireplaces can cost between $2,500 and $10,000.

The cost to remodel your fireplace is $1,200 on average. This cost can range from $400 to $2,000, depending on the extent of work needed.

If choosing tile, you can pay between $1 and $50 per square foot, depending on the design. Stone is a more expensive material, averaging between $60 and $70 per square foot.

The average cost to remove a fireplace is $7,000 but can range from $4,000 to $10,000. Labor costs account for the majority of this price, which can range between $500 and $2,000. In addition, permits to remove a fireplace are typically needed, and these can cost anywhere from $100 to $1,000, depending on your location and city requirements.
