"They scammed me out of my money have been dodging my calls did not fix anything charged me $100 and then they tried charging me even more saying that they were gonna just keep trying parts if that part did not work I do not think their licensed they came up with the website after I had already called thumbtack and made a complete about their legitimacy They know nothing and these guys will scam you out of your money and never answer the phone. They dodged me for weeks after I had paid them even just about the part ordering status because I do not t use genuine parts, but yet still are saying that I owe them even more than $100 when they did not even repair my dryer that I also hired them for at the same day. It was broken broken so if you wanna get ripped off because you are a female or an elderly person or they think you are not gonna do anything about it. Celebrating 50 years of service! Michigan's most experienced air duct cleaners. 24 employees. No subs. Monster power vacuum trucks. NADCA certified technicians on every job. Multi-year Super Service Award winner! Travel charges over 25 miles. Call toll free 1-800-AIR-DUCT.

"We cannot say enough good things about Safety King. Conversations with the office staff were always friendly and professional. The Cleaning Specialists (Nick and Tim) arrived on time and were always polite, professional and friendly. The truck and equipment were first-rate. Before the job started, there was a thorough walk-through and before each phase they clearly explained what they were about to do. A final walk-through after the job showed everything completed to our satisfaction. We had a cheap contractor do the cleaning before, and they were nowhere near as good - you get what you pay for!"

Clean & Green Dryer Vent Experts LLC is owned and operated by a Michigan family. Lead technician Tim is certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (www.CSIA.Com) in Dryer vent cleaning, maintenance and repair. Tim is also a licensed builder of the State of Michigan. Tim serves as a proctor for the CSIA and monitors testing and certification of others interested in becoming a certified dryer exhaust technician. We do residential and commercial, single family or multi unit complexes. We are a full service dryer venting and maintenance company. We are fully insured. We wear clean uniforms, drive a clearly marked vehicle and wear photo Identification from the CSIA. For your safety never allow anyone into your home who fails to present proper photo id. A nationally known advocate for safe dryer vents, Mr. Joe Gagnon, has often had Tim as a guest on his radio program, The Appliance Doctor. Joe has often stated that many lives have been saved by Clean & Green. Thousands of house fires occur each year because of a dryer exhaust or chimney that simply was not maintained properly. Many people purchase a new washer and dryer only to have the delivery service connect the dryer to the vent with a foil transition which is illegal and unsafe. Many people call for service to their dryer, the appliance technician most likely changes a part, closes up the machine and leaves. The lint on the bottom of the dryer is left behind…almost always. A dryer must be vented to the outside of a building by law. Not into a garage, not into a bucket with water inside, and not into your attic. The majority of Dryers are heated using natural gas which produces Carbon Monoxide when it leaves the dryer thus must be vented outside. Dryer venting seems to be almost an afterthought to home builders. They go up and out of the roof, they go out the second floor siding, they may travel seventy feet across the basement and go out through the wall. We measure the air velocity at the termination found on the outside of the home, then we measure the air velocity at the dryer. If there is a tremendous difference we may take a backpressure reading as well. In most cases where there is a big difference between the air velocity on the outside and back of the dryer, or if your backpressure is excessive. Obviously your dryer vent needs to be cleaned out from end to end, however house fires do not start inside of a dryer vent! They start inside of your dryer. When you press the on button if you listen you will hear a “Click, Whoosh” type of noise. That is the click of the igniter inserting a little spark into the spray of natural gas and the whoosh is the resulting ignition of that gas. Bad things happen when the dryer vent is plugged and lint accumulates by the inch all over the bottom of your dryer until it’s three or four inches thick and then the whoosh noise can light the whole dryer on fire before you can walk out of your laundry room. Please contact us at 734-377-4175 to schedule your appointment today.

"Tim is a consummate professional. He is a stand-up guy who does not try to sell you products or services you don't need. He'll make recommendations and then talk it through with you and ultimately leave it up to you. Tim is the type of contractor that's a needle in the haystack find - he knows his industry and job, he's thorough and efficient, and his pricing is fair."

Custom Temperature Control is a Michigan Heating, Air Conditioning, Heat Pump, and furnace repair, service, replacement and maintenance company located in Oakland County. Custom Temperature Control will send you only the best technician for air conditioner or furnace repair as well as all air conditioner & furnace replacement and boiler installation in Auburn Hills MI, Berkley MI, Birmingham MI, Bloomfield Hills MI, Center Line MI, Clawson MI, Clinton Township MI, Commerce Charter Township MI. Additional contact name - Tony Garrish. Award winning.

"We bought a "fixer upper" in Troy in the summer of 2018 and the entire HVAC system was 20+ years old. After doing a lot of research I decided I wanted an American Standard Furnace and AC system because consumer reports rated them as the most reliable brand. Tony was one of the few contractors that offered American Standard Products. I took bids from 5 different contractors for the furnace and hot water heater. Tony came out himself to look around and give the initial bid. He was very personable and was happy to answer all my questions. And I will tell you honestly I had a lot of questions. I meticulously researched Furnaces and Hot water heaters before I was ready to drop thousands of dollars. Tony emailed me back and forth 3 or 4 times answering questions before I finally awarded Custom Temperature Control the contract. Installation of the furnace and hot water heater was mostly problem free. I do give honest reviews so I will say there was one issue. When I brought this up to Tony, he came out himself the next morning to rectify it. 6 months later summer was approaching and it was time for a new AC system. Once again I did a lot research and took bids for several contractors. Once again Tony came out for more than an hour and went over my questions with me. Once gain he followed that with about 3 or 4 email exchanges providing answers to my detailed questions. And once again he was the lowest bid… by far. For an identical set of AC coils and compressor his bid was between $400 and $1,000 less than the other contractors. The other contractors had quality reviews on Angie’s list as well, but not as many total reviews as Tony. He also included a new a line, something the other contractors wanted to charge me additional money for (or use the old line which I read was not a safe bet). Installation of the AC system went smoothly. It’s clear to me Tony beats out his competitors on price, customer service, and customer satisfaction. One other thing that I like about Tony is that he offers multiple HVAC brands. Most places only offer 1 brand. Tony offers as many as 5 if I recall correctly. To me this says he puts the customer first because he is willing to offer a variety of choices instead of pushing one brand. I would recommend Custom Temperature Control to all my friends and family."

Humidifier Repair questions, answered by experts

Ideal humidity conditions generally range from 30% to 50%, with 45% considered optimal humidity for most homes. If your humidity levels drop below that range, you can turn your dehumidifier off. Additionally, suppose the temperature where the dehumidifier is installed falls below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. In that case, it's best to turn it off and unplug it since cooler temperatures can cause the unit's coils to freeze.

Whether you’re facing significant humidifier repair costs or it’s time to replace your humidifier altogether, it’s understandable to question whether the expense is worth it. Still, there are many benefits of whole-house humidifiers that you might miss, including improved indoor comfort, improved breathing and sleep, better hair and skin, and even increased home value. Either way, the answer is subjective, so it’s helpful to evaluate your home’s humidity without the unit running and give it a few weeks to see if you notice a difference.

Cleaning and replacing filters and ducts reduce allergens and enhance air quality.

It improves air quality, prevents dry skin, protects wood furniture, and enhances overall comfort.

Professionals can enhance an A/C system’s longevity by optimizing settings and performing thorough checks on all system components.
