Customers say: Quality work

"

They did a great job, and we have plans to redo a bathroom. I will totally hire those guys to do the electrical. They were just as helpful, friendly, and nice as you could ever want. It was wonderful. They're helpful, and they're willing to make sure everything is perfect. I just thought they were efficient, helpful, they were professional and they knew what they were doing.

Emergency services offered

"Writer is a true professional and electrical guru. He arrived within the allotted time frame, got right to work and quickly identified the problem. He even welcomed me to watch him while he worked as he explained the intricacies of the electrical outlet (which was a GFCI multi-branched oulet, connected to other garage and bathroom outlets). It was clear he knew what he was doing. I would recommend him for any electrical problem or fresh installation, and plan to hire him in the future for other electrical projects I have around my house."

"Had him come out and run Ethernet in my house for some access points and a switch. Very professional, courteous and reasonably priced. One of the few people in my area that does residential networking."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Dearborn homeowners are embracing smart home upgrades like programmable thermostats, USB outlets, and smart switches. Under-cabinet LED lighting and ceiling fans with LED fixtures are popular for energy savings. Many are adding EV charging stations and upgrading to whole-home LED lighting. Outdoor lighting enhancements, such as motion-activated fixtures, are also trending for both security and curb appeal.

Helpful?

Dearborn’s harsh winters, humid summers, and frequent storms require weatherproof electrical boxes and surge protection. Moisture-resistant materials are vital in basements, and outdoor fixtures need to withstand ice and temperature swings. Heavy rains can increase the risk of basement flooding, so regular checks for corrosion and proper grounding are essential. Using cold-weather-rated cables helps maintain electrical system reliability year-round.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Dearborn, keep a non-contact voltage tester, insulated screwdrivers, wire strippers, and a digital multimeter available. Stock up on wire nuts, cold-weather-rated electrical tape, and both 15A and 20A circuit breakers. Weatherproof electrical boxes, surge protectors, and outdoor-rated extension cords are essential for Michigan winters. Having extra GFCI outlets and LED bulbs for outdoor lighting is also highly recommended.

Helpful?

Electrical maintenance in Dearborn should include monthly GFCI outlet testing and annual inspections of your electrical panel for corrosion, especially in basements. Replace outlets or switches every 10-15 years and check outdoor outlets before winter. After spring storms, inspect for water damage. Pay attention to older aluminum wiring and ensure all exterior fixtures are properly sealed against moisture for long-term safety.

Helpful?

In Dearborn, basements often require updates due to moisture and main panel locations. Kitchens and bathrooms typically need GFCI upgrades and improved lighting. Outdoor areas, including garages and landscape lighting, face weather-related wear. Service entrances may need electrical panel upgrades, especially in older homes. Homes built before 1960 often need rewiring, while newer homes benefit from smart home enhancements.
