"I had estimates from five companies and Stonebrook Bldg Srvs was the most professional and down to earth. He and his workers were very experienced with deck installation. I was unsure on how it would look, but John put my mind at ease, turned out beautiful!"

"We hired Mark and Courtney originally to repair our ceiling drywall in the garage. He did such a great job that we decided to have them paint the garage. The attention to detail that we noticed in those two projects helped us decide to hire them to paint the interior of our home. I am much more picky about the interior than the garage;) They did not disappoint! The painting of the walls and trim was awesome as was the caulking that was the finishing touch to the project. I would hire them again actually I DID HIRE THEM AGAIN!"

"I hired them to paint kitchen cabinets. Diane and Roger were timely, good communication, showed up when they said and came to work. Finished the job in the agreed time frame. Neat, took care to cover floor, surfaces, shoes. Made adjustments easily. The job itself was fine, a few small mistakes but overall , they were a reliable, professional, Detroit-based company that showed up, communicated well, did a good job for a very good price."

"I recently had my bathroom remodeled, and the experience was excellent. The team was reliable, stayed within my budget, and finished the project quickly without sacrificing quality. They were friendly, easy to work with, and completely transformed my outdated bathroom into a modern, fresh space. I’m very happy with the results and would gladly recommend them."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Using caulk is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to finish glass tile edges. It creates an elegant seam between the glass tile and the adjacent area, along with a waterproof seal. With this method, you want to use a caulk color that matches the grout and, along with the grout, compliments the tile. Make sure the caulk line is smooth and even. Alternatively, you can use a bullnose or tile trimming to edge, however, that will also require caulk to seal.

Travertine is a natural stone, while porcelain is ceramic. You can enjoy the best of both worlds with porcelain travertine tiles. Some people prefer porcelain to travertine because it doesn’t require regular maintenance and it’s easier to clean. Porcelain travertine looks like the real thing but only costs $3 to $6 per square foot.

You can purchase natural stone tiles from your local home improvement store or stone distributor.

Simply put, natural stone flooring is a high-end style that outlasts its wood and carpet counterparts. After finding a style you love, a stone flooring company near you can help source and install them for a reliably clean look.

If you’re out of spacers for your tile installation, you can use pennies. Each time you place a tile, stick the pennies around the edges (on the sides and the corners). Like working with spacers, you’ll want the same amount of space around each tile before they set.

The choice of whether to tile or use an acrylic tub surround is up to you and can be based on a number of factors, including aesthetics, cost, waterproofing, ease of cleaning, and maintenance.

Tile is a beautiful, classic bathtub surround choice; while tile installation cost is higher, it’s customizable and offers visual appeal. Tile is also harder to clean and presents waterproofing problems because of grout lines. Acrylic surrounds can be more affordable, don’t require much maintenance, and are easier to clean. However, they aren’t usually as visually appealing and may need to be replaced if they become damaged.
