"When we decided to renovate our kitchen, one big decision was replacing our dated corian countertops. After searching numerous granite/marble facilities in the area, I always went back to Pyramid Granite for my top choice. They had an incredible selection and helpful consulting staff. The slab was beautiful and all the measuring, customized cutting and installation was perfectly done. Can’t be happier! Love being in my gorgeous kitchen. Thank you!"

"It was a pleasure to work with Renaissance Floor's professional and accommodating team to replace flooring on 2 full levels of our home: hardwood on one (in place of old carpet), new carpet on the other. The price was reasonable for the DC metro area and and the quality of product that we got. Amir took extra care to help us get an in-stock discount on the hardwood and get the carpet promptly despite supplier back-orders. We and our family have noticed the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of the finished product."

"It was a pleasure again working with Yosuary Diaz and his team on our unfinished basement renovation. We hired them before for whole house interior painting. I would definitely hire him again for other home renovations. Him and his crew are great and are very skilled at what they do. Diaz was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive contractor, but overall, well worth it! We had our entire basement gutted out and rebuilt. Diaz and his team rebuilt everything from the sub-flooring, new walls, and plumbing...and other major infrastructure that is not always thought of. We love our new basement with a complete bathroom! We highly recommend Yosuary Diaz and his team if you have a major home project."

"The project went very smoothly. They stuck to the timeline and communication was very easy throughout. They did not have to make many changes to the initial budget, they were basically spot on with the estimates and products needed. We replaced the floor, cabinets, and counter tops in the kitchen. Then they tiled and painted the room and everything looks clean and new!"

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

You can cut granite countertops after installing them, but you need to consider the mess it will make. Dust will be everywhere, and lots of protective gear will be required. On top of that, you will need to measure meticulously to make sure the cuts you make are perfect; otherwise, you’ll be stuck having to replace the entire slab of granite, which is a much bigger job.

While quartz is highly stain-resistant, it is not completely stain-proof. Spills, including water, should be wiped up as soon as possible to prevent staining. Minor stains are usually not permanent and can be removed using a quartz-safe cleaner, a simple mixture of dish soap and water, or a baking soda paste applied with a soft microfiber cloth. For severe stains that persist, professional treatment may be necessary, and in rare cases, countertop repair or replacement might be required.

Yes, limestone often turns yellow over time when improperly cared for. The stone contains natural iron deposits, which can oxidize when exposed to water, acids, or harsh chemicals, such as bleach. Without exposure to water or chemicals, limestone should not turn yellow. Always seal limestone countertops to protect them from moisture, and only use gentle cleansers designed for stone.

Marble countertops don’t necessarily crack easily. However, they are more susceptible to damage than some other types of countertops. For example, they can develop etching from acidic liquids, such as lemon or tomato juice. Marble can also chip at the edges if you drop a heavy pan. A faux marble countertop isn’t as delicate as the real deal (depending on the material you’re painting over), but it can still get scratched if you’re not careful. Use hot pads and cutting boards to protect the countertop.

Since cesspits must be watertight to prevent leakage and contamination, so they’re typically constructed from one of a few tough materials. Most cesspits are made from fiberglass, concrete, polythene, or steel. Each of these materials carries certain advantages—fiberglass, for example, is resistant to corrosion but may be more prone to cracking if it’s at high capacity.
