We also added lighting to the posts and stairs which makes it really "pop" at night. "We had had an excellent experience with the predecessor to TrueDecks almost a decade ago so asked for our Ipe wood balcony to be cleaned and re-stained after being away from our house for several years. The customer service is responsive and efficient, although they clearly get busy in the spring/summer season, and also have to account for weather. Likely because the decking was so overdue for refinishing, the first coat really didn't suffice. The crew came back for a second round and the finished product looks excellent, just as dark as I recall from years ago. They were polite, careful, and timely...and also worked independently (only using a ladder to access the second-story balcony/deck!). We were pleased by TrueDeck's responsiveness to our concerns about the first coat and very happy with how it was resolved. (Sort of before and after photos below.). We will definitely use them again to keep our deck in good shape going forward."

Their price was fair (right in the middle of the quotes I received from other companies) and Marc and his crew were really easy to work with. Throughout the course of the project, Marc kept us posted on expectations leading up to our start date and then stayed in constant communication with us during the construction phase. When we needed to make minor tweaks or changes, Marc and the crew were always open to our ideas and continuously stressed that our satisfaction was their goal. Once the project started, they worked everyday (aside from weekends, of course) to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner.
