Marvin and his team were able to replace my roof within 2 days of inquiring. I felt the price was fair and the quality of work was great. After inspection we noticed a few things that needed fixed and they came right away and fixed the issues. We additionally needed some siding replaced and they did a great job feathering in new siding.

Marvin had a 5'x5' skylight custom made for us and installed it on our screened in porch, along with a bead board ceiling. He and his team did a great job and were very thorough. Marvin also gave me a quote for replacing my roof. We ended up choosing another contractor, but he clearly knows what he's doing, was thorough and thoughtful in his assessment and offered a fair price. I will definitely consider working with him again in the future.

The roof and gutter replacement was completed in a highly professional manner, very quickly (less than 2 days) and very smoothly. Marvin was very responsive when we had questions and accommodated our request for change of color for soffit. His crew went above and beyond by matching other parts of the fascia with the new soffit color. Throughout the work, they sent pictures of progress, including of which parts of the wood structure had to be replaced. They left the site clean and even replaced a small patio light which had been broken while removing the soffit. We were extremely satisfied with the work and how easy the whole process was. We would highly recommend this company.

It was very bad experience. I want a professional contractor and not a kid to do my roofing. They laughed at me because I asked them not open the roof because of the rain i would not recommend them to anyone

They did a great job of getting out here before the next rainstorm and completing the work in one day. The new roof looks great and is holding up very well, and we have better insulation than before.

They did the whole project in a day. I had wanted some extra soffit work fixed after the initial work and Marvin was responsive and sent out a crew immediately to fix it.

Marvin & the MG Roofing crew did an excellent job repairing both our roof deck stairwell roof and the back of the roof underneath the deck itself. They had to dismantle part of the deck and were able to reassemble it so we could barely tell it was in a pile while they worked on fixing the roof itself! Both jobs were completed very quickly (much faster than I would have assumed), the price seemed very reasonable, and we're very happy with the results.

In July I decided to contact this company because I had a roof leak. If you thoroughly look through the reviews of this company (including on yelp) you will see that the owner is both RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. However, all I really cared about was the job being done so I ignored this-big.mistake. 1.) After I signed the contract Marvin took forever to complete the work and each time I contacted him he sounded irritated. 2.) When the workers showed up to my house they went straight to my roof without letting me know that they had arrived. When I discussed this with Marvin he said "They are there to work not for you." Is that how you talk to customers? 3.) After waiting forever for the job to be done, paying thousands, and dealing with his horrible customer service he did me a "favor" by resealing the flashing for my porch with caulk. After this was done white caulk was left on the front of my house and the workers never asked for paint to cover it up. 4.) I noticed this the next day and Marvin stated to leave the paint on the porch and that they would get to it as they go down their list. How about you just finish the job that we agreed to? After having the paint sit on my porch for weeks I decided id rather pay someone than deal with him. 5.) How can I trust a 10 year warranty with a company like this?

MG roofing, Marvin Garcilizano, put a new flat roof on my DC row house last week and did a great job! I got six estimates for the job. Marvin's was in the middle of the pricing, but I thought he offered the best value. He did not try to upsell me and actually offered me a cheaper alternative. We agreed on a double layer of Modified Bitumen roofing. The other reason I chose him was that he was willing to stand by his work and offered me a longer warranty than most other roofers. He and his crew were always on time for all appointments. They arrived right at 7:00 AM and got the main roof done in two days. On the third day they replaced a built in gutter on the front of the house that required custom metal cutting. They were polite and professional and cleaned up the worksite and yard completely. Although I did go up on the roof to inspect things, the crew took pictures throughout the process to show the wood they replaced and things that would later be hidden which was a nice touch. Marvin knows his craft and gives you a fair and honest deal. It's raining hard today for the first time since we had the roof done. Marvin just texted me to make sure everything was dry...I would highly recommend him.

MG Roofing fixed my garage roof by repairing the rotten roof structure and replacing the roof. Marvin came out and inspected my roof to give me a quote and it was easy to schedule a date for the work. The work was completed in 1 day and the workers didn't leave any debris. Marvin provider pictures of before and after. No leaks in my roof since it was repaired.

Inspected, reported w/pictures, quote provided, agreement made, and work completed within 3.5 days. While not a hard rain, it rained last night and no issues (fingers crossed).

I had a flat roof, pitched slate roof with dormer, and flat garage roof replaced, including some subroof repairs, plus some new gutters installed. Marvin Garcilazo was a pleasure to work with. His written contract was a bit terse and difficult for a non-expert like me to understand - it helped me to get another overly detailed contract from a different contractor, and I checked with a friend who is a builder to help me decipher. He prefers torch-down roofing. His team did an efficient and clean job, well documented with photos. When I pointed out some finishing issues with the work (e.g. wrong pattern on the slate roof, wrong gutter pitch, a sloppily tarred edge on the dormer) to Marvin, he got it fixed quickly and without any complaint - he clearly wanted me to be fully satisfied with the work. Other contractors who have seen the work have been impressed by the quality of the roofing work.

MG Roofing installed a brand new roof for us about a month ago. I contacted MG Roofing and met with the owner Marvin the following day. Marvin was extremely personable and emailed a quote within 15 minutes after inspecting the roof. He mentioned that he could start the job the following week and to email/call him if we wished to proceed. I also met with four other contractors. Some of the other contractors prices were competitive while others were much higher. What I liked about MG Roofing was that the owner was not pushy and didn't call me non stop like the other contractors. We finally agreed to go with MG Roofing and we could not have been happier. MG Roofing replaced the whole roof in three days. Marvin kept in the loop throughout the entire process and quickly answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend MG Roofing.

I have used Marvin four times in the past year - twice to replace shingles that flew off in wind storms and twice to identify the source of small leaks and repair them. Each time, his crew has done excellent work, on time for a reasonable price. I highly recommend him - he is a master roofer.

Roofers did an amazing job. Removed the old roof and installed the new roof all within the day (started at 7 am and done by 2pm). Left the house and surrounding areas just as clean as they found it. The price ended up being higher than originally expected, but in line with the amount of rotted wood they had to replace and the price was provided ahead of time for that cost. They took lots of pictures throughout the day to show progress, flag areas of concern, and were very thorough. We've had several big rainstorms since the new roof was installed and have seen no more issues. Would highly recommend!
