Homecraft Builders installed my 400 SF composite deck in August of 2024. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of work and customer service. It was one of my best contracting experiences as a home owner. The project involved a complete tear out of an old deck, framing and footers and install of new picture framed composite decking, framing, additional footers and aluminum railing. The onsite team were very professional and kept me informed every step of the way. This project was permitted and the inspection process was a breeze. They even repaired my damaged brick pavers and laid 5 cubic yards of stone under the deck and ground perimeter at no additional cost. Thank you Jeff, Mark, TJ and Buck!. You guys rock!

Marc and the HomeCraft Builders team did amazing work to replace a 50-year-old covered porch that presented some challenges to tie into the main roof. The transformation is incredible. Not only did they do great work, they were competitively priced, a pleasure to work with, enthusiastic and engaged (even though it was really hot), and included me along on the way, seeking my opinions and making adjustments to my preferences. I would definitely hire them again!

Fabulously. Jeff communicated with us when he was coming to the house, when the inspectors were due to come, and when he would not be at the house. He was very flexible and worked with our schedule, even though we had to postpone our start date because we discovered termites on our property. He confirmed our design choices throughout the construction process, ensuring that we would be pleased with the outcome. Jeff's work crew were polite and hard-working. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving the yard free of construction debris. They also washed down the deck and trellis to clean off mud that splashed onto it during construction. The new deck is well constructed, is extremely low maintenance, blends with the colors of our house siding and trim, and looks great. I definitely recommend Jeff and Homecraft Builders.

Oh my goodness! What an incredible experience working with Jeff and his team of talented deck builders!! Our just completed 16x14 backyard vinyl deck is AWESOME. From our very first meeting with Jeff, we knew we were dealing with a person with high ethical standards who would not cut construction corners or skirt county permitting requirements. He arrived armed with a binder, and as he flipped through pages, the very first item we spotted was his MD license credentials. That was a must-see for us. Jeff is affable and is a highly knowledgeable and skilled builder. He kept us informed during every single phase of the project and was quick to respond to texts and emails. In fact, he frequently would reply by calling and was always patient and in command of the project details. As far as cost, the price was just where our budget needed it to be, and we received a comprehensive written estimate and contract. Jeff and his staff, including uberly gifted Jose, are among the very, very best.

Marc and his crew were everything we wanted and more! Their customer service and craftsmanship were sublime! We will definitely be coming back to homecraft builders for future projects.

I have been meaning to add a review because this was the best experience! We love our new deck. The finished project exceeded my expectations. We have had so many neighbors inquire about it and I have given at least half a dozen people Homecrafts info. From Jeff taking the time to walk us through the design that would maximize our space, to the reasonable cost all the way through the professional crew that built it and left our space clean of debris. Every detail was paid attention to and the deck is just gorgeous and sturdy and I know we will love it and use it for many years to come! Thank you!!!

We got a few estimates in July 2022, and out of all of them we got a great vibe from Marc. He took the time to listen to our preferences for a new deck layout and drew/designed a great option that we all agreed on. We were really excited to work with him and his team. After some scheduling issues, I got a call from TJ that they were ready to start work mid May 2023. They came with a small crew of four, but came ready to work! They worked quickly and it was fun to see their process. Almost every day, TJ and Marc would give me or my husband an update of their progress and what to expect throughout their time working. They were so easy to talk to and you could tell they just want their customers to be happy. The deck itself is gorgeous! We chose Fiberon in Latte color. White vinyl railings with black balusters. We also wanted an under deck dry space (planning for a future patio hangout area).

The experience was excellent from start to finish. Jeff was always available to answer any questions we had about the design and process of building our dream deck. The craftsmanship exceeded expectations. Jeff and his team will be our resource for any future projects. I highly recommend this company.

Homecraft Builders did an AMAZING job on our screened-in porch and we couldn't be happier! Their price was fair (right in the middle of the quotes I received from other companies) and Marc and his crew were really easy to work with. Throughout the course of the project, Marc kept us posted on expectations leading up to our start date and then stayed in constant communication with us during the construction phase. When we needed to make minor tweaks or changes, Marc and the crew were always open to our ideas and continuously stressed that our satisfaction was their goal. Once the project started, they worked everyday (aside from weekends, of course) to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner. The screened-in porch turned out even better than expected and we couldn't be happier with the project. We're out there ALL THE TIME now and get tons of compliments from our neighbors. Recently we replaced our screened in porch and we are so glad to have had Marc and his crew on this project. We were referred to Homecraft Builders by friends who recently used the company to build a deck. Initially we were going to replace the existing structure but after reviewing options with Marc we decided to add an additional open area to the porch. Marc was “hands on” from our initial estimate and through the project. We appreciate that Marc walked us through the different stages of the project (tear down, rebuild, roofing) and was very communicative on how the crew was completing work. When decisions needed to be made on the job (where to put new stairs, fan installation), Marc walked us through the different options to ensure the finished product would meet our needs. We feel we made the right decision choosing Homecraft for the work and would recommend their services.

Well, my foot went through the stairs of our 33 year old deck so it was time to replace it. I fixed it once before but my wife had enough. 14X19 wood, vinyl railings and a gate. I got three quotes. Jeff was first at $14,900. The second was $14,500 and the third well know company in Harford county was a ridiculous $18,000. I was a little taken back by that. Maybe the job wasn’t fancy enough for them so they priced it high. Well, it worked. Theses quotes were all before the price spikes of mid 2021. Jeff came out with his crew and began the work. He picked the best boards and made several exchanges at 84 Lumber. I really appreciated it. It was clear from the beginning he wasn’t going to do some half *** job. We had good conversations and Jose worked his butt off. It took approximately two weeks. All told I am completely satisfied, but to be honest, anything was going to be better then what was originally there. I’m thinking about having them come back an do my siding.

Jeff and his team did a wonderful job on our deck rebuild. This was our second deck built by Homecraft (the first was on a different home), and both experiences have been great! Jeff and his team were professional, friendly and courteous. This was a large second story deck and we are thrilled with the beautiful finished product. We would certainly hire Homecraft a third time if the need ever arises.

Jeff provided a complete list of all work involved, got the permit and quoted me a good price for the job. They started on a Monday and was done by Friday, just in time for the 4th of July holiday. Every time I contacted Jeff, he was very responsive. Looking to hire them for new siding next year.

Jeff was great to work with. He came up with a cost effective deck plan that works for me and my needs. He was communicative during the entire process and the work was done in the time span he promised me.

I met Marc on Friday 5/7/2021. I thought it was a good meeting. We went over various options to repair a greatly-damaged deck that spanned our house, and on leaving, he gave me his card and told me he would send me his proposals in "two or three days." I waited six days, then sent him this text on 5/13: "Mark, just checking in as I was expecting to get your estimate this past Monday or Tuesday. Are you still interested in this job? If so, could you please send me the options we discussed? Thanks." "Marc" I got no response to my text, and on 5/17 sent Marc the following text: "Marc, I went on Angie's list to start looking for contractors today, then came across your company again, and was reminded of your 4.9 rating. Given your rating and excellent reviews, I am at a loss as to why I never heard back from you. Can you please contact me even if you are not interested in the job? I would appreciate knowing what the heck happened." Again, no response.
