"First lets just say I am a little OCD when it comes to work in my house :) I needed my basement waterproofed. Given the scope of work and the expense involved I wanted to make sure I get the RIGHT contractor. I got 8 bids for the job. Basement Gurus blew the others away. The price was very competitive. The customer service was great. I knew exactly what they were doing each step of the way. They showed me the materials involved and explained the entire process in detail. The work was beyond expectations. They showed up on time, with a huge crew. Given the size of the crew it was amazing to watch how well everyone worked together. It was like a well oiled machine! I can tell these guys have been doing this for a long time. The finished the job on time and left the place cleaner than before!!! They even had a guy washing my deck to make sure they didn't leave any dusty footprints. That kind of attention to detail is unheard of these days. Overall, they are amazing. I could not have asked for a better crew or customer service!!!"

"Angie's List reviews made me go with GAC Services for a new furnace and air conditioning unit. Five mechanics showed up early in the morning in three trucks. They were clean cut young men and very polite. They made a lay down area in my basement with blankets. They wore covers over there shoes while in and out of the house. They were very respectful of my home. They worked non stop until 5:00 PM. They had a separate sheet metal mechanic that showed up and did really nice sheet metal work. I was impressed. After a year went by my thermostat went out and they came out and replaced it free of charge. I signed up for the maintenance contract and they come out twice a year . Once in the winter and once in the summer. Another part went bad after two years and it was under warranty and they replaced it free of charge. They are honest and reliable. I highly recommend them."

"Robbie is polite and knowledgeable. He has done other work for us in the past which overall was very good. He quoted a certain price which we understood would cover the work to be done, but when the time came to do it, we had to spend more and eliminate several aspects to cover the total cost. It is possible that this was just a misunderstanding, since he is pretty casual about contract details. I agree with the other reviewers that rated his company a B overall: beware of his subcontractors which make serious as well as cosmetic mistakes and be aware that he may take weeks or months to contact you, unless it's an emergency. I also thought his price estimates were in the high range, although I believe the finished project was probably higher quality than much less expensive contractors."

"Allen Metcalf is an artist. He doesn’t just build something, he creates. This is the second project he has done for us and replaced a small deck outside our sunroom that as rotting. Allen pointed out that more than one piece of structural wood needed replacing. He also pointed out where the deck and addition weren’t properly anchored to the house. He submitted a 14 page estimate detailing everything he would be using and doing. If you want the best and don’t mind paying a few dollars more for his precise, professional, and well crafted work, you need to contact Allen."
