"Thank goodness for Mastero Edgar, his family and Crew! It was a dark and stormy night in Feb 2021, icy yard and flooded basement. We had cleared our septic tank 3 months prior and the basement flooded with clean water! We had hired a plumbing company 2 nights in a row...no clear answers despite hours of work!! Then I reached Angie.. Mr. Edgars daughter , Mr. Edgar overheard me, and spoke to me at 8:45 pm... on a Saturday night !!!! He did not have to... but he did. He found the problem....the following day I watched the most synchronized orchestra by the team ! Still mesmerized by the way the work was carried out! I work in health care, I am a business woman and I love classical music! Let me tell you all, their work is innovative! My husband and I live in peace after those 3 agonizing days... knowing that there are angles out there and then there is Mastero Edgar, his family and crew! Clean, professional, affordable. Mr. Edgar, thanks again for the reminder to “go an extra mile” when I care for my clients! Regards, Grace Paul. Rockville, MD"

"Patrick was able to correct all of my problems.  He was quick, provided excellent work, explained to me what he was doing and showed me what he discovered.  Once he found the fracture in the toilet, he was able to order and install the new toilet the next day.  He gave me a fair price on the toilet and labor and even replaced some of the connecting plumbing.  I am more than happy with his work and would recommend his service to anyone needing plumbing work.  He recommended eventually replacing my other two toilets and recommended which to replace first.  I appreciate his work, professionalism and efficiency.  I will definitely use him for the replacements and any other plumbing needs that I have.

"Our a/c unit had caught had caught on fire and it was 1000 degrees outside and it was sparking. We interviewed 3 people. They took the time to sit down and tell us what they were going to do. The price was so reasonable! They replaced the entire outside air conditioning unit plus the heating unit inside.

Then we had the vents cleaned in the house, because they were so messed up. They did such a phenomenal job that we had our hot water heater tank replaced by them. Our house is so much more warmer in the Winter and so much more colder in the Summer.

It was a significant amount of money, but it was such a better price than the other. It was needed, but also just the way the man presented himself when he did his presentation. He was really, really good and he had been with the company a long time. He was older and knowledgeable. We trusted what he said and we like what he said and the timeframe he could do it in. He came in and he did it in that time.

The quality product that we got was worth every penny that we paid and we have never had an issue with it. We got an appointment right away. They were great! We would have them come and do anything again! They taught us how to change our own filters. "

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Common signs that your well pump is failing include fluctuating or consistently poor water pressure, sputtering water from faucets, or a complete loss of water. Other indicators are unusual noises coming from the pump, the pump running continuously, dirty or cloudy water, or a sudden, unexplained spike in your utility bills. While some issues, especially after a power outage, might be resolved by simply restarting the power or priming the pump, persistent problems suggest a more serious issue. If you notice any of these red flags, it is recommended to call a professional well pump service to inspect the system and determine whether it needs to be repaired or replaced.

Septic tanks naturally have bacteria that break down some of the solid waste in the septic tank. However, sludge buildup is just part of owning a septic system. While liquid wastewater can be filtered and treated through the system, a septic tank company has to pump the septic tank out at least every few years.

To keep your septic tank healthy, be careful of what you flush and be conservative with water usage, as even flushing too much water down the drain can throw off the septic system’s delicate balance. Never flush anything but human waste and toilet paper down your toilet, and be sure to have the tank inspected and pumped every two to five years, depending on the size of your household and your water usage.

There are many reasons you may want to extend the depth of an existing well or drill a new, deeper well on your property. A deeper well can tap cleaner water sources—shallow water may contain more contaminants. With a deeper well, you’ll also have an easier time reaching the water table depth (the level at which underground water is found) and can get past tricky soil conditions.

Plus, if your local building code requires a minimum well depth for safety and environmental standards, you’ll meet the code by digging a deeper well in the first place.

Most deep wells can be expected to last somewhere between 30 and 50 years. This assumes that the well and all of its components are properly maintained on a regular basis. During this time, it is unlikely that modern deep wells will run dry over the course of their typical lifespan. That is one of the biggest benefits of digging a deeper well.
