"Very good experience. The contractor was responsive with communications and provided a competitive and fair price. No surprises in doing the work, he replaced a broken skylight and repaired displaced shingles on my detached 3-car garage. Professional in his approach and conduct, provided a quote and competently did what he said he would do. I plan to hire him in the future as projects arise."

"I used Griffin a few years ago to do roof repairs, fix a leak that had water pouring through my kitchen, and install new gutters.  They did a wonderful job, were easy to deal with, and were very professional.  Last week they came out free of charge to fix a problem with a downspout caused by a gutter cleaner.  I highly recommend Griffin.

"I had gutter helmet installed 20 years ago and it has been a lifesaver - no gutter cleaning! My house backs up to woods, so lots of tall trees, leaves and pollen. With gutters at 2 and 3 stories, cleaning was necessary, but expensive before Gutter Helmet installation. Today, I had a section of helmet repaired due to damage from a fallen limb. The repair crew was great. They made the necessary repairs and cleaned and checked the gutters on the rest of the house. Gutter Helmet works great and in the event of problems the company is very responsive."

"Home Genius Exteriors replaced and disposed of my gutters, downspouts, gutter guards, and fixed facia where it was damaged, with a complete replacement system, all within 24 hours from my first meeting with them. Their service was professional, work crew was personable and left no evidence of being on my property except for, the awesome new gutter system on my house. Seriously, if I wouldn't have seen them doing the work, you wouldn't know they were there, it was like a Home Makeover reveal or something - the whole experience impressed me and I'm skeptical to a fault. The best statement I can say is, while my Wife and I were walking around our house, she smiled and said, "I can't wait for it to rain!" I can't either. Thanks HGE."

"Excellent hard-working crew gave us a new roof and repaired water-damaged woodwork within 36 hours. They accidentally clipped a TV cable, but made things right by paying for the replacement. Very good response times via instant messaging. Will use them again to replace gutters next year."

Customers say: Quick response

"I recently hired their gutter cleaning service and I was very satisfied, they arrived on time, were very professional and made sure to clean both gutters and downspouts without leaving any debris around the house. And they also made sure the downspouts were clean and not clogged. They showed me pictures of before and after without asking. The team worked quickly but carefully, and I can tell they know what they’re doing, I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable high-qualify gutter cleaning service."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes. Excessive pitch in gutters can cause water to flow too rapidly, leading to a decrease in the gutter's water-holding capacity; consequently, during heavy rainstorms, water may awkwardly splash outside the gutters. Ideally, you should aim for a quarter-inch of gutter slope for every 10 feet of gutter run. However, it's important to note that this guideline may vary depending on your home's structure and the type of gutters being installed.

With routine maintenance, gutters don’t usually need to be replaced for 20 years, but there are warning signs that they might need early replacement. Signs that your gutters need to be replaced include sagging, visible cracks or holes, peeling paint, rust, standing water in your gutter, and water leaking into your basement. Pushing off replacing your gutters can lead to extensive damage to both the interior and exterior of your home. Regular maintenance can help your gutters last all 20 years — and sometimes, even longer.

No—gutters should be designed and properly installed so they are ready to handle any level of rainflow from your roof. If you notice pooling water around your gutters or on the roof, it’s imperative that you contact a gutter repair pro near you—the slope of your gutters could be off and need adjusting.

Yes, it’s possible to replace only one section of a gutter, and it’s a common repair. Often, a tree limb will damage a gutter on one side of the house, or constant weather will cause early corrosion. Gutters are often joined together with couplings that are easy to remove and swap out. For this reason, some homeowners will purchase extra gutters when they install them to have spare sections to use for replacement later.

Most homes will sustain water damage without gutters. When a home doesn't have gutters, water that runs off the roof will splash down to the ground to create foundation damage, rotting trim, rotting fascia, and soil erosion. A broken or compromised gutter system can be just as damaging as having no gutters. That's why it's essential to talk to roofing pros about how to fix gutters pulling away from house as soon as you notice an issue.
