He explained what needed to be done and was honest about the fact that a homeowner DIY remediation was within the EPA guidelines for the amount of damage that needed to be fixed. "Overall, the project was designed and completed very capably.  The source of our water problems was not typical.  We selected Floodbusters because they were willing and able to customize the design of the waterproofing project to match our specific needs.  (Others tended to try to desribe our problem only in terms of what products they had to offer rather than focusing on what our problem really was.)  In quoting the project, the Floodbusters sales consultant, Vince, followed up regularly by phone to answer our questions and was willing to make multiple visits to discuss our needs and concerns and to customize the proposal accordingly.  They arrived on schedule as promised, completed the work efficiently and capably, and left the space cleaner than they found it.  They communicated regularly throughout the day while carrying out the job.  Thus far, we have not experienced any water in the basement and the appearance of the basement is much improved.  We have an old stone house and the installers, sales consultant, and business owner, seemed very comfortable working on an older home.

I rated quality and professionalism as "B" because I felt there were a few areas in which they could enhance their customer experience.  I did need to have the company return to reinstall the industrial taping on the wall protection because it did not adhere properly.  The company was very prompt in returning to solve the problem, however, a bit more attention to detail in the installation could have prevented the need for a return trip.  Also, I did not realize until after the installers left that I potentially would need to have some electrical work done to be able to install the dehumidifier where it had been placed.  This would have been helpful to know earlier so I could have planned for it.  Lastly, a follow up phone call might have been useful after the project had been completed to ensure that I didn't have any questions following the installation.  The best contractors I have worked with typically do this.
