Sorry but we do not service or clean wood stoves/fireplaces Hello everyone. We are a small, local, family run business. We service and repair all gas and pellet fireplaces in the winter and service In ground swimming pools in the summer. Prior to opening the business I was the lead technician at one of the larger outfits. I have almost 20 years experience in the field. I am factory trained and certified, licensed and insured. We carry a large inventory of parts with us for the popular brands in the area. We do not sell units or install them we only service/repair. *We do not service wood stoves/fireplaces. We do not sweep chimneys for wood stoves/fireplaces.*

"Tim was very professional and knowledgeable on repairing our pellet stove, came when he said he would and took his shoes off at door and covered the area with a blanket where he was working, very friendly to, would recommend to reach out to his business if you need a stove looked at."

Our service department is set up handle your calls with experienced dispatchers and we back them up with a plumber in the office to answer your technical questions. Hopefully keeping you informed with a way to resolve your emergency or problem. We have a full time parts purchasing manager to locate the hard to get items and keep your job repairs moving as smooth as possible. During daytime hours (Monday - Friday) we will always have someone to talk to or an estimator to help work up a cost for your repair. Our goal is to make the unwanted call to a plumber a good experience. Knowing that most plumbing emergencies are not in the budget, we have a link to a finance company on our web site that has experience in this type of emergency funding and they can help in as little as 10 minutes in most cases. We don't want you to have to call a plumber, but if you do, we want it to be us and to be a good experience for you.

"Had an emergency clog that flooded basement bathroom. Perry came over and we thought he was awesome. He seemed very kind & was happy to help. Got rid of the clog and even fixed our garbage disposal. Forked out a little over $380 but didn’t care because I was relieved things were fixed. Unfortunately Perry didn’t connect the hose back up to our washing machine so when we ran it, our basement flooded even worse. Contacted Perry to see if he had anything to at least help suck the water up and asked if PlumbCrazy covered this sort of thing. He replied and he said “For all I know you moved to clean and left it off.” I promise you we didn’t move anything yet. It definitely wasn’t intentional that it was left off. However, I am very frustrated that something like this can happen and he doesn’t want to take any responsibility for it. Our carpet, my speakers and a few other items were soaked from this incident and now I’m over here wishing I didn’t choose to do business with this company. I hope in the future Perry double checks that he hooked everything back up so no one is left on the situation we are."

It’s no secret that natural gas differs from propane, but you’re in luck—licensed plumbers can also install propane gas lines. When you speak to a gas plumber near you, be sure you specify that your project will be for propane gas, not natural gas. Propane lines are slightly different than natural gas lines, so clear communication is key to ensure that your project is completed without a hitch. 

In most cases, yes, it’s safe to light a gas water heater manually, but you should shut the gas off first, open a window, and let the space air out for about 10 minutes. Modern water heaters shut the gas off entirely if the pilot light goes out, but airing out the area beforehand is good practice and will ensure it’s safe to relight your pilot light manually. Just make sure you turn the gas valve to “pilot” before lighting. If the light keeps going out or won’t light at all, call in a professional.

The biggest disadvantage of propane is that heating systems and appliances powered by propane tend to cost more than gas-powered ones. Propane is also dangerous since it can create frostbite if it touches the skin and can easily combust if mishandled. It’s also quite cumbersome to buy or replace propane tanks, so many people choose to have propane delivered to their homes—an extra cost and logistical challenge that can be a headache.

Renovation projects that require moving a gas-powered appliance may also require moving the gas line that supplies it. The cost to move a gas line falls between $375 and $750 and will depend on how far the line needs to be moved, the cost of the permits, and how much excavation is needed, along with other factors. 

In most cases, a gas stove should be installed by a licensed plumber. Connecting gas appliances carries many risks, chief among them a fatal gas leak. If your home is already set up with the proper gas hookups, you may be able to DIY the installation (or save money by hiring a local handyperson or basic appliance installer near you rather than a plumber). If you’re ever in doubt, however, we recommend going with a professional master plumber.
