"The wood burning stove was installed in the basement and chimney was forty feet high. We picked out the stove model in the store, and Mike and the staff were very helpful. The team that did the installation did a terrific job. They installed the chimney and the stove in one afternoon. When the job was almost finished, a part had not been included in the box with the stove. The person in the office who handled the sale drove all the way out to our house with a spare part so
that the job could be finished that afternoon. The delivery and installation service was terrific. The installer had a climb up forty feet to the peak of our roof to cap off the chimney. We were very happy with the installation. Fortunately for us (at least with respect to our fuel bill), the winter was mild and we were out of town for some extended periods of time. Consequently, we did not get much chance to use the stove.
This winter, however, was as different story. The stove got plenty of use after we got snowed in and the stove provided excellent service. It heated the basement, the only place we could heat after we ran out of propane gas. We used it for heat throughout the time we were unable to get propane delivered -- several weeks. As the cold winter dragged on, the stove proved to be not only very effective in generating heat, it was also very efficient with respect to how much wood it took to heat our living space.
On the basis of these experiences, I would recommend Mike without hesitation!! :)"

"Great service. My former Jiffy repairman, Pete, is no longer doing gas log repair. He assured me the new guy would do just as good a job. He was right. Shaun was wonderful. He cleaned the logs thoroughly, explaining everything he was doing, and gave me good tips on maintenance. He also replaced the non-working remote!! I'd given up hope of that, since our log set is almost 20 years old. We had been lighting the logs manually, which was a pain. Not only that, Shaun noticed that the Piezo igniter was broken, and said he would order the part and come back to reinstall once it arrived. He's a super nice guy too, and keeps a clean workspace and always wears shoe covers, which I really appreciate. I couldn't be happier with Shaun. I'd also like to give a shout out to the scheduler, Stefan, who always let me know in a timely fashion when Shawn was coming, and is very responsive to schedule changes. Many thanks to both guys."

"We interviewed three of Angie's List  A-rated companies that specialized in heating and cooling..  Two were relatively large companies that provided Carrier and Lennox equipment and one was a small business that provided Trane equipment.  We selected Ambient Cooling and Heating to handle the complex requirements of this project. 
1.  We needed to replace a 40-year-old gas furnace.  We decided that it would also include a whole-house air purifier, a whole-house humidifier and a programmable thermostat.
2.  We needed a new 40-gal gas water heater
3.  Finally, we needed a 3 ton 18 seer central air conditioner system.
We selected Ambient Cooling & Heating for the project.  Of the 3 companies we invited into our home to inspect the current system and provide an estimate for completion of all our requirements, Bryan Satterfield of Ambient Cooling & Heating provided us with the most impressive proposal of the 3 interviewed.  He provided the most professional discussion of what we needed and why; made an excellent case for purchasing Trane; answered all of my many questions with patience and poise; and demonstrated total technical competence.  My husband and I agreed that Bryan was the man we wanted to handle this job.
Bryan owns the business and installs all of the equipment himself along with the assistance of one helper, John.  During the week following our signing a contract with Ambient, I called Bryan many times (probably too many) with questions I had forgotten to ask regarding specific equipment that had been recommended by Consumer Reports.  Each time, he worked patiently and professionally through my questions and tracked down specific items that I wanted to consider in the project.  He, for example, explored for me the costs of new extra quiet versions (55 decibles vs 72) of 2 ton and 3 ton Trane A/Cs.
On the day that he began installation (certainly too late for most contractors), I inquired about a Lennox Whole House Air Purifier recommended by Consumer Reports.  As noted above, Bryan was always patient, professional and service-oriented when I made a request.  Although he had brought an Aprilaire whole-house air purifier for installation, he immediately contacted his suppliers and tracked down the specific Lennox whole-house air purifier recommended in Consumer Reports.  He arranged to have the item shipped overnight; thus, he was able to install it the very next day in my Trane gas furnace.  My husband and I were very surprised and pleased by Bryan's professional attitude and client-oriented philosophy.  He certainly went "substantially above and beyond" the call of duty.
I could go on and on in great detail but I will cut this review short and  say that I would definitely hire Ambient Cooling and Heating again and strongly recommend him to you.

"We called to make an appointment on Monday, January 21, for the plumber to come out and do this replacement work. The intake person, Norma, was friendly and professional, and she scheduled the appointment for that Friday, January 25. We opted for the 10-2 time window for the visit. The plumber, Jack, called us a little before 10:00 to say that he could come by a little early, if that was OK. It was fine with us, and he showed up and undertook the work. We didn't want to shop around in advance for the parts, so we explained to Norma what we were looking for and followed up with an email that she shared with the plumber in advance of the visit. Jack, the plumber showed up with good-quality replacement parts that met our requirements. We know we could have purchased these parts more cheaply on our own, but it saved us time and gas to just have the plumber "shop" for us and then do the replacement work. Though Saffer is on the expensive side, even with a coupon, we were pleased with both the parts and Jack's work."

"When I called Classic to make an appointment, Lance was efficient and friendly. I was always called to confirm the appointments the day before. Tommy and his co-worker arrived on time both visits. After the chimney inspection, Tommy outlined the repairs that needed to be done to make my fireplace usable. He recommended vent-free gas logs rather than burning wood as it would be a safer method to use with this fireplace. He also suggested where to look for the gas logs to get the best price and who to call for installation. He was friendly but very professional. On his second visit, Tommy and co-worker arrived a little early and were already working when I arrived at the house. He installed the damper in a very short period of time. The estimate I was given for the damper work was exactly as stated - no hidden charges. Excellent service and excellent job. I will definitely recommend Classic to my friends!"
