We are general mechanical electrical contractors specializing in residential and commercial applications your one stop shop for all your needs

"We hired this contractor almost a year ago to do various projects. The work was supposed to be finished in 10 days according to the contract. We are here almost a year later and there is still work that is unfinished. I paid Martin before all of the work was completed, and I can’t get ahold of him to finish the work now. The pipe still hasn’t been cut, and there is still a huge piece of concrete in our side yard. I’m not sure what to do now."

Established in 2015, our professionals at Elite Fireplace in Collegeville, PA have been working in the industry for more than 25 years. After working for other companies throughout our careers, we decided to break out on our own and provide a better service for customers that have fireplaces, chimneys, and alternative heating appliances. We hold numerous certifications in our industry. While other companies rely solely on sub contractors that don't specialize in our field we at Elite Fireplace keep everything in house, in order to maintain an excellent quality of workmanship and service. It is our mission to provide a personalized service that will meet the lofty standards and goals of our customers.

"Greg and team came by and gave me multiple estimates for our chimney (c. 1950s) with visible chunks of brick and mortar missing from 50+ years of wear and tear. His team decided to only caulk the J channels (for $300 - gougers), and left 6 big gaping holes untouched. Fast forward two months later, we get a leak in the ceiling caused by these holes that should have been filled back when they came by to caulk perfectly fine J channels. Lessons learned: 1) do not trust contractors to do a job right; 2) always inspect after they say "work is done"; 3) just do the job yourself."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Yes, flexible tubing and high-efficiency gas lines are options for new installations.

The right way to vent a gas water heater is to have a pipe directly upward or slopes upward out of the house. Because hot air naturally rises, this type of venting will efficiently ensure that all gas moves out of the house. Your system may rely on fans or blowers as well.

The cost to repair a gas leak is $120 to $250 on average, but it could be as costly as $5,000, depending on the leak location and severity.

For example, if you have drywall covering the source of the leak, you'll need to hire a contractor to replace the removed drywall. In addition, if the leak is underground, you'll need a contractor to excavate the ground to reach the gas line.

A few potential problems can cause your gas grill to stop working:

  • Burners aren’t properly aligned.

  • Food debris is clogging the burners.

  • Hose connections may be blocked.

  • Burners may not be getting enough gas.

  • Gas valve is not working properly.

If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.

Having gas appliances in your home can be convenient—you benefit from faster water heating, more efficient clothes drying, and more affordable home heating. However, you need to be aware of the signs of a gas leak so that you and your family can take precautions to be safe around these versatile appliances.

Signs of a gas leak include:

  • Hissing sounds

  • Rotten egg smell

  • Higher than usual gas usage

  • Physical symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness, and nausea
