"Finally! When friends ask if I know of a reliable, honest, plumber at reasonable cost, I have found one to give as a referral in Water Field, LLC. Tes arrived on-time and assessed what was needed to correct my pipe leak problem in short order. While waiting for his repair work on the leaky pipe to cool, Tes offered to check all the other fixtures in my home to ensure everything was in order. When I mentioned one of my toilets was not properly anchored to the floor, an annoyance to me for quite some time, he fixed it at minimal cost. Water Field, LLC is now officially my go-to plumber. "It went very well. Lal wore covid19 PPE and covered his shoes as not to soil my floors. He had to remove the toilet to unstop the drain pipe. He used an electric snake to clear the drain and replaced the toilet including re caulking. I'm very pleased."

"I am very happy about the work but I paid 600.00 for a very small job. He cut a pipe and put a cover, then he fixes a sing pipe that was broken and snake two drains. He said everything was 495.00 and then he said it was 150.00 on top of that. I was very upset that he change the price agreed on at the end. I had more things to get a fix and he did not want to."

Small jobs welcome

"Fixed a broken cast iron toilet drain flange. Project was definitely harder than expected, but they got it done. I had to call them back because I thought they messed up on one aspect. However, turned out to be fine and I wasn't charged for asking them to come back out for nothing. Great company and great customer service."

"My experience with this company was great. I was able to tell them my issues and they gave me several options. Ultimately we went for the full French Drain system. Everything was done on time and the estimates were very fair. Warranty on the work is great. I would call them again if needed."

"They installed an entire weeping tile system with 2 sump pumps. Everything was done in a quick and clean matter. After the next rain there was a small leak in the basement and they came back the next day and fixed the issue."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

If methods like hot water or a plunger don’t work on your clogged drain, you can snake your drain to dislodge the plug. This can be a messy process, taking some physical effort and additional time over the other drain-clearing options. You can purchase a drain snake at a hardware store and choose from handheld options or those attached to a drill. Just work slowly, and be ready to call a plumber if you’re unable to reach the clog from your drain or P-trap.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.

That pungent rotten egg smell coming from your drain is likely the buildup of biofilm—hair, skin, and soap scum that turns into a black sticky mess. In this case, pouring down near-boiling water, baking soda, and white vinegar will remove the smell. Keep in mind that a rotten egg smell is occasionally a sign of larger sewage line clogs and other related issues.

There are several signs that can indicate your leach lines are broken, failing, or in need of repair, including puddles of water or a marshy consistency to the ground above or around the pipes, slow drainage or plumbing backups inside your home, and noticeable odors or gurgling sounds coming from your leach field. Keeping your septic system properly maintained, including having your septic tank pumped at regular intervals, can help ensure your leach lines stay in good working order for a long time.
