"We were lucky. Our 17 year old air conditioner died on the only cool night in July! Pure Air HVAC, LLC came out the next day to give us a quote and installed a new unit the very next day. The price was so good that we decided to upgrade our furnace also! Both the new furnace and air conditioning unit were less than what we expected to pay for the air conditioner alone. They answered all of our questions and explained how the new system worked. We are very pleased. The new unit is so much more efficient and the house feels cooler. I strongly recommend them if you need service or installation!"

"They came on time and took care of the installation of my oven, removal of the old, and the installation of my microwave. Everything has been working fine, and the price was affordable."

"I will be paying for the tarp installation, but ultimately, my Condo Association agreed to provide their repair person, at their cost, when it was proved that it was the fault of the roofers. I was very pleased with the professionalism and prompt response of Kargman. I would certainly use them again and would highly recommend them to my friends."

"I could not be happier.  I have been working with Frank since 2009.   Every job has exceeded my expectations.  This one was no different.  From beginning to end, Frank has proved once again his guys are truly the best. The work is exceptional, pricing is competitive, workers are pleasant and professional and most of all trustworthy.  At the start of the project, Frank recommended for me to consider re-doing the stair rails.  He was right on the money!  The wood rails and iron balusters are the highlight of the house. It was not in the original plan, but glad I decided to take the recommendation.  They are beautiful (thanks Brian).  I could not be more pleased with the outcome.  I also had hardwoods installed on the main level.  It was a little concerned  there would be a variation in color/install since I all ready had hardwoods in the kitchen. Not the case at all.  The floors, all the stairs (with white risers) and the 2 landings are absolutely beautiful.  Add in the newly installed sconces and new light fixtures - amazing.
I also had several items on the honey do list and each item was checked off one by one.  Honestly, I could not be happier.  i am definitely one of those peeps who know what they like and Frank made it happen.  I  would gladly recommend AMS Home Remodeling to anyone who asks.  Hats off to Noe', Renzo and their crews. Everyone is top notch. If I could give a higher rating, I would.
Frank - THANK YOU!  I am looking forward to my next project.  I'll be giving you a buzz next year to get back on the books.

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

In a house, scorpions tend to live in crawl spaces, attics, in the nooks and crannies of closets and furniture, gaps under doors/windows, and cracks in your foundation. Outside your home, scorpions like to inhabit shady spaces, such as beneath trees.

Stink bugs are herbivores, so they do not bite. Their mouths are designed for feeding on plants. They do not have a stinger either, so the worst part of these pests is the foul odor they emit when they are disturbed. However, you want to avoid allowing an infestation to set in, so you should consider calling an exterminator if you are struggling to get rid of them.

False chinch bugs are generally smaller and somewhat paler than true chinch bugs, although they otherwise look similar. The name is a bit of a misnomer: They act very similarly and both feed on plants by sucking out their juices. However, chinch bug feeding tends to be very destructive to the plant, while strangely the false chinch bug does relatively little damage.

Any food that’s left out can potentially attract mice, but they especially like grains such as rice. Mice will also go after fruit, fatty foods like bacon, pasta, and cereal. Mice can also be attracted to garbage and compost bins if they’re left uncovered. The best way to prevent mice from getting to these areas is to keep food in hard-sided containers and cover garbage bins.

In addition to a clean home, fleas dislike oils made from plants that are naturally bug-resistant or poisonous to bugs. That includes myrtle, mint, eucalyptus, and especially cedar oil. Common household remedies like baking soda, garlic and apple vinegar don’t have any effect on fleas. Don’t spray essential oils directly on your own skin or your pets (and their bedding, because it can be a skin irritant. Stay away from tea tree oil. In pure form it can be very toxic to pets. Always ask your vet if you have any questions.
