"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. Same Day Service Company Inc. is an independent appliance repair company with over 20 years of experience, and we’ll provide you with service from our well-trained, professional technicians in hours, not days. We service all major kitchen and laundry appliances, and we charge by the job, not by the hour, so you’ll know the exact cost of repairs before we even begin! For a complete write-up of our quality assurance, we invite you to review the Quality Guarantee on our website.

"If I could give it a zero I would. 2 years ago the water dispenser on my refrigerator was slow and the water was cloudy. They replaced a water inlet regulator. It cost $438, which I have been told was an exorbitant fee. After a month the water was still cloudy. I called to have it checked and was told to replace the filter or buy a new refrigerator. I didn't know at the time what was done but the water cleared up. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when the water was slow again. I called a different company because I was not happy with this company last time. I had one company tell me they could not figure what was done and there were two hoses unattached to anything. They did not want to work on it because they wouldn't know what to do. They suggested I call a Frigidaire repair company and maybe they could figure out what to do. The Frigidaire person was stunned by how bad the work was. It was the wrong part and didn't have enough inlets to attach all the hoses. The water was not connected to the filter or the water tank so all the money I spent on filter replacements was wasted and the water I thought was being filtered was not! There was also something done to an electrical component that will likely make it impossible to repair. They are working with Frigidaire to see if there is anything that can be done. One comment he made really stuck with me, "this was totally Mickey-moused " Today I spoke with Same Day service and they accept NO responsibility. Didn't even offer to have one of their experienced repair people come out to look at it."

We have been around since 1923 as a family-owned company and have survived and grown through Great and not so great depressions. We have always prided ourselves on being a truly service-oriented company, not just about an expansive 25,000 square foot display or even the sales expertise of highly trained salespeople. Service is not even about a low-pressure environment, where clients can choose between every major brand without the hassle or be protected by the industry's best price guarantee. It's quite simply actual service. Delivery and product service are the largest departments within Yale at 65 people and 25 vehicles. It is our commitment to you to deliver properly without damage and fix problem products quickly. Buying an appliance, lights, and plumbing at Yale is about sales and especially the service experience. We are now open on RTE 9 in Framingham, just past the Natick Mall at 215 Worcester Rd and in Hanover, on RT 53 at 548 Washington St. The Hanover, Framingham, and Boston/Dorchester locations proudly offer appliance sales, installation, and repair. Additional contact name - Steven Sheinkopf 617-822-6150

"I have bought appliances from Yale for 3 different houses over the past 15 years. Most recently bought over $65k worth of appliances because I had good experiences before. This time, one of the appliances - a Yale-branded icemaker - was broken out of the box at delivery. Asked to have it replaced, they said no - I had accepted delivery so they would have to repair it. They scheduled an appointment to do so, then canceled it because part was not available, and replaced with an appointment scheduled a month later (which they scheduled without asking if it worked.) I sat and waited, technician came and said part wasn't available, he knew he wasn't going to be able to fix it, but came anyway because there was an appointment. Looked over the unit, told me his supervisor would call that afternoon, and he left. No call. I called back the following Monday, and spoke to 2 different who said they weren't able to help, but a supervisor would call. When he did, he said they had no part for it, no eta for the part to be delivered, and had no units in stock to replace it, but that even if they did that wasn't covered by the warranty so too bad. No apology for the wasted appointment, and in a very dishonest way tried to say that the first appointment is always diagnostic, even though it was specifically rescheduled by them because part was backordered. Said that they deserved the opportunity to fix it instead of replace it, and when I told them they'd more than had that opportunity over a period of months, including the appointment they'd just had, he got upset and said a number of things that were offensive and that there was no path forward for resolution."

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

Many homeowners prefer gas stoves for their ability to cook food much faster than an electric model. They also allow you to easily adjust and fine-tune cooking temperatures on the fly, whereas electric cooktops take a while to heat or cool. Plus, if the power goes out, you’ll still be able to use your stove to cook a meal.

While refinishing your appliances can make them look fresh, you may prefer to keep their original coatings as long as possible. The best way to maintain your appliances’ appearance is to keep them clean. You can do this by:

  • Wiping up messes and spills on appliances as soon as possible.

  • Avoid using harsh cleaners or abrasive cleaning tools.

  • Handling objects with care near appliances to avoid scratching or denting them.

If a 240V appliance is connected to a 120V outlet, the lower voltage will cause that appliance to receive insufficient power. This may result in reduced performance, malfunctions, or even damage to the appliance's components. Depending on the size of your electrical circuit, you’ll likely need to reset a tripped circuit breaker at the very least.

Air fryers rely on hot air circulating around the food to create that signature crispy finish from frying, while deep fryers cook food in hot oil that has been heated to a specific temperature. Air fryers require little or no oil, while deep fryers require a lot of oil, much of which is absorbed into the food. Both methods cook food so it comes out crispy and juicy, but they don’t taste the same—deep-fried foods are often coated in a batter before being fried.

No; all cookware can be used in a convection oven. That said, some cookware performs better than others. Bright aluminum or light-colored pans are best for convection ovens, as bakeware with an anodized finish can cause food to brown too quickly. Ceramic and some glass dishes are not as effective at directing heat, so they work better in conventional ovens.
