Scott and team are tremendous! I struggled to find a cost effective / local repair shop for a busted ice dispenser and Scott answered the bell. Prompt, professional and amazing value! I now have ice in my cocktails thanks to Scott at Appliance Works!

This guys are consummate professionals and I cannot recommend them more highly. They are terrific. Although my top freezer was still functioning adequately, my main fridge component was not cooling almost at all. I called multiple appliance repair companies seeking estimates. Scott, from Appliance works, was one of the few who actually called me back, and he called me back promptly. He and his colleague came over with in 24 hours and made the repair. The rate that they charged, including parts and service, was half of what another service provider estimated. On top of the great service and fair price, they are really nice guys! Hire them!!

Scott got back to me within 2 hours of my calling. He coordinated with my tenant and was able to diagnose and fix the issue with the oven the same day. He and his team were quick and efficient, and the price was reasonable. I could not have asked for a better experience in terms of responsiveness and quality of work. I did ding him a point because in these times, it is very important to do all you can to make people feel comfortable and safe when you enter their homes. Wear your mask properly--to work effectively, it must cover your mouth and nose, and it should fit well--not hang loosely around your face. Not doing so, especially while coughing a lot, is very concerning. You only help your business by closely following COVID safety practices. For this reason alone, I would not hire this company again at this time. I hope you consider this and work to improve how you approach interactions with your customers during the pandemic.

I had only use this dishwasher for a couple of months when it stopped working. I had three different people come up everybody said something different and bought different parts. the previous repairman took the thing apart said he'd be back and then when I called him five times he said he was just too busy! I called these folks without great hope. He heard my sad story, came soon looked at it carefully said he knew what he needed to get and he will order it and charged for the first visit. I begged him to please come back and told him my problem. he'd be back as soon as possible after getting a new pump. He called and told me a week later the part came in but he couldn't come see me for a few weeks because of the heat wave he had to go fix people's refrigerators who had families and food to save. I was impressed with that and agree to wait another week or so. It's finally fixed after sitting apart for 2 months. He's really easy to work with and a solid professional.

On 7/14/20, Scott & Mike came to my house to repair a rumbling noise in my DCS oven. Scott determined the rumbling noise was caused by a faulty ignitor. They replaced the ignitor and explained in detail how the oven operates.. They both were very knowledgeable, efficient and polite. When I used the oven that night to cook dinner I could not believe how quite it was! I actually had to open the oven door to see if it was on. I would highly recommend them, whereas the provided A+ service, and had a very fair price. I will definitely use them in the future, for any of my appliances, if need be. They were great!

My DCS microwave/ convection oven died after 10 years. Scott came from Appliance Works, assessed the oven then gave me a couple of options along with the price, he even went as far as to get in touch with a local dealer to inquire about a replacement. I eventually decided to fix the oven and Scott went on a search for a part, not an easy feat in this Covid 19 era. He kept me up to date and informed about the part and replaced it as soon as it arrived. Very diligent and professional, I would recommend them anytime!

I bought a new condo that came with a brand new 24 inch Magic Chef stove. At one point, the carbon monoxide detector went off after cooking bacon for a long time. Fire Dept. came and said have stove looked at. Mike and Scott tested it and basically I didn't have the top burner locked down so flames were kind of wild and high....and they also showed me how to use it. Not being a US made stove and directions were really confusing. I couldn't get the stove to come on and stay on......... same with burners. They showed me what to do. Also, suggested a vent above the stove, since it was a smaller condo, to absorb any fumes. They took measurements and ordered one. Kind of an odd size but they got one. Came back and installed. I've been cooking with no problems. They show up on time, price was very reasonable and not that it should be important to some people, but it is for me.......... they were just the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. Felt like I knew them forever. I highly recommend!

Scott and Mike were great, fixed the dishwasher carefully and efficiently. Scott also assed by washing machine and advised on replacement which I appreciated rather than sinking money into a dying machine. Very pleased with their service

Superb service. The team arrived as scheduled, immediately identified the problem - a failed igniter - and replaced it within 30 minutes. We also had a pleasant chat about how appliances aren't as reliable as they were in the old days :)

Terrific! I have hired Appliance Works a number of times since I first did about 10 years ago. It's been a long time since I wrote my first review so I thought it made sense to write a new one.. They are super nice, prompt and reliable, really good at explaining what is broken, what isn't, what repairs are worth the cost versus which ones aren't. Remarkably they seem to have more parts stocked on their truck than I could imagine and are really efficient at diagnosis and repair. Also really responsive to my schedule. Nice to work with someone that is both good at their jobs and has a lot of enthusiasm for what they do. Also, I believe Scott is a regional trainer / educator for repair people on behalf of a number of manufacturers, the only one I can remember for certain is Sub-Zero.

Our dishwasher died right before Christmas (of course!). I waited a week or so (knowing it would be a busy time) and then called around to see about getting it fixed. Scott called right back ( a few other companies never even got back to me) and said he could come the next day. I asked if he could wait a few days which he said would not be a problem. Of course then I started to get water leaking in the basement. Frantically called Scott back and he came that afternoon. I should mention that the dishwasher is not easy to remove since they tiled right up to it. I expressed my concern about damage to the cabinet and floor and Scott could not have been more understanding. He and his helper (I wish I had gotten his name) removed the front of the dishwasher and cleared the pan. I was told to run the machine a few times and see if that did the trick. Unfortunately it did not. Scott came back within a few days and they worked on removing the dishwasher. They were very careful and did not scratch a thing! Once the dishwasher was out they replaced the union and fill valve. The hardest part of the repair was getting the dishwasher out and I am so thankful Scott was able to do it so carefully. Both he and his helper were professional and patient. In the end the two trips cost about $200 which I thought was VERY reasonable based on the work they did.

I was pleasantly surprised to get a call the same day I left the message. They knew right what the problem was and were able to fix the stove within 20 minutes. They even fixed a burner that I had been lighting manually. I would definitely call them again for any appliance that needed fixing in my home. They only thing is that the correct phone number and email is not listed on Angie’s website. It should be 617-448-3835. I looked it up on my own.

Diagnosed the problem and explained options to me. Because cost of repairing (new circuit boards) + cost of possible future repairs, they recommended buying a new washer. Advice made sense and that is what I decided to do. They came on schedule and spent a lot of time looking at the washer and explaining the options, as well as recommending brands to buy. Will use them again for future problems.

These guys are awesome. When my Wolf oven wasn't lighting up (36" gas range - 6 burner GR366), I called Wolf customer support, who suggested I talk to Clarke Appliances in Milford. Unfortunately the soonest they could schedule me was 10 days out. So instead I found Appliance Works of Boston. The owner called me back within 20min of leaving a message, and he gave me a 2h window the next day. The next day came, and Scott (the owner) and Michael showed up as promised (with a call 30min in advance). They were very professional, super quick to diagnose the problem, had the right replacement part in the van, and was in-and-out within about 30-45min. All told I spent about half what I might have with Clarke. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

He was honest, professional, and extremely thoughtful about every piece of advise offered. I would highly recommend Appliance Works of Boston.

Scott and his associate were great. They were able to arrange an appointment quickly, arrived on time, and were professional and kind. I know NOTHING about appliances, so dealing with repairs can be intimidating. Scott took the time to explain what was going on with the machine, and what the best course for solving it is and why. He's just one of those people you trust -- authentic, hard working, honest guy. I highly recommend Scott!

We were very pleased with the service. We called on a Saturday and someone came out quickly same day. They listened to our concerns, diagnosed the problem and had the parts on hand to fix it immediately. The estimate matched the total cost and was reasonable.
