If I could give it a zero I would. 2 years ago the water dispenser on my refrigerator was slow and the water was cloudy. They replaced a water inlet regulator. It cost $438, which I have been told was an exorbitant fee. After a month the water was still cloudy. I called to have it checked and was told to replace the filter or buy a new refrigerator. I didn't know at the time what was done but the water cleared up. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when the water was slow again. I called a different company because I was not happy with this company last time. I had one company tell me they could not figure what was done and there were two hoses unattached to anything. They did not want to work on it because they wouldn't know what to do. They suggested I call a Frigidaire repair company and maybe they could figure out what to do. The Frigidaire person was stunned by how bad the work was. It was the wrong part and didn't have enough inlets to attach all the hoses. The water was not connected to the filter or the water tank so all the money I spent on filter replacements was wasted and the water I thought was being filtered was not! There was also something done to an electrical component that will likely make it impossible to repair. They are working with Frigidaire to see if there is anything that can be done. One comment he made really stuck with me, "this was totally Mickey-moused " Today I spoke with Same Day service and they accept NO responsibility. Didn't even offer to have one of their experienced repair people come out to look at it.

Gabriel came out because the fan was not coming on on my AC/Heat unit. the found that the circuit board was faulty. They ordered a new one and came and installed it, The did a great job was nice professional and prompt. The thermostat had no power "my fault" and the came out fast and took care of the problem. Sameday Air was great and the technician was great thanks Gabriel for being so nice and helpful. I would recommend to all.

Could not be more satisfied with their service. I have maintained a service agreement with this company since my home was constructed and have failed to be impressed by their professionalism, timeliness and the quality of their service. Their Subzero technician, Don, was incredibly thorough with the diagnostics and repair required to resolve the issue I was facing. Highly recommend this company.

Let's start with the name is a joke. It was a week before they could come out just for the estimate. No time window, I had to wait all day until they finally showed up at 4:45 PM. When I called they asked for model #, serial # and problem. Guy walked in took one look at the stove and knew what the problem was. Then all he did was wait 30 minutes for an email to find out the cost, which was basically as much as the stove costs. So I wasted $130 and a full day for nothing. They had the info for a week, any decent place would have told me ahead of time that it probably wasn't worth it, but I guess they would rather have my $130 and lose a customer. EDIT: Same Day Service followed up with me and gave me a credit for the cost of the visit. This is probably the best they could do to try to remedy my problem. I do still think better communication between the people who make the appointments and the technicians would improve the customer experience, but I will give them another chance if the need arises.

I was told that they were coming to repair my machine in the "early afternoon," and after two calls to check the status, I got a call from them at 5PM saying that the technician would not be coming, but they would reschedule my appointment for the next day and I would get 10% off for the inconvenience. When I asked for a time, they said that they couldn't provide me with one. The next day, I was woken up to their service tech banging at my door at 8 AM. He had shown up, but I hadn't gotten any call to say he was coming/was here (just the door banging). Then after all of the waiting, he told us he would just suggest we buy a new washer, and charged us the full ($129) service fee. Apparently, the 10% off I was promised, would also only apply to a repair, which he said he wouldn't recommend doing. Could have just bought a new washing machine a week ago, and avoided all of this mess. Would not recommend this company at all.

They responded immediately to my call and scheduled a visit within a couple of days. Requested details about make and serial number of machine so that they'd have the right parts. On the day, serviceman called 30 min ahead and then showed up at right time, quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem. In addition, blew out the vent which was partially clogged with lint. All very fast, efficient and professional. 10% discount for Angie's List!

Refrigerator had stopped cooling the refrigerator compartment - running constantly and freezer section was fine. I called Same Day Service. They explained how there service calls worked and set a window when they would arrive (true to the name, later that day). Service tech and an apprentice arrived right on schedule. Quickly determined that the defrost control was shot. He had one on the truck. It was quickly replaced. He then instructed me that the freezer needed to be completely defrosted over 24 hours before the refrigerator could be turned back on. Waited until the defrost was complete and it is running great now. I also want to say that this guy was an amazing teacher. Watching him instruct the apprentice in how to do the job and make sure that it was done correctly was enlightening. Both were extremely professional. I will be calling Same Day Service for all my future appliance repair jobs.

Excellent. Came the same day I called. Gave a 30 minute advance call. Would have preferred a time slot but I understand that job times can be difficult to estimate. It was a tricky repair involving pulling the appliance out and re-installing it, and my kitchen cabinetry is very finicky, but everything was re-installed perfectly. Kevin was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. With any luck my 17 year-old Miele has a few more years left in it. Very satisfied. Will use this company of all future service needs.

Timely response to our call. Repaired dryer quickly. Would not hesitate to use them again.

There was some confusion on my part about the time but they handled that in a very nice manner and the technician was very good explaining what was needed and then performing the repair

The service professional got the dishwasher working with the caveat that it may be a temporary fiz. He gave an estimate of the cost of a permament fix.

The quality was fine. They did fine. They are a real good group.

Our dishwasher wasn't cleaning dishes very well. Same Day Service did have to come out two times to repair two different parts of the dishwasher. I might not have done the repair if I knew the number of parts needed at the onset, but the diagnosis was challenging, and I don't think they could tell the number of problems the first time. We ended up replacing a small motor and then a diverter. Their repairmen were all very friendly and courteous. They also did a good job of reducing the cost of the second repair since they had been out so recently. They repaired a two-year old Kenmore Elite dishwasher, and they clearly are much more complicated machines than they used to be and not made as well as they used to be made.

It was expensive, but it's working fine.

Two visits as a part needed to be ordered and replaced; a bit expensive, but responsive and got the job done.

A few of the technicians are very good, and a few are nearly incompetent. The same day service is misleading because the window of time the company provides for appointments is too great and does not allow for any flexibility when juggling work. In addition, a technician cancelled a scheduled appointment and the company was unwilling to reschedule the appointment for the next morning, instead providing a range of before 12:00 pm noon. The company is unwilling to be flexible and offer firm appointments even with repairs that need immediate attention.

Greg was direct, helpful, and actually looked at another appliance and gave his professional opinion on that one as well (helping save us from a potential gas leak!) Would definitely use Same Day again and recommend them.

Early Friday morning they called me and said they would be out around noon. They called 30 minutes prior to showing up and were on time. Quick diagnosis but unfortunately the needed to order a new dryer drive assembly. Part was ordered, they contacted me Tuesday of the following week to say the part was in and put me on the schedule as the first appointment of the day. Installation was quick and professional and we were up and running in no time. They even threw in a one year warranty for free since we had to wait for the part! Great experience will definitely call again if needed.

Same Day Service lived up to their name and came over that day (despite it snowing outside!) The guy was super friendly, professional and diagnosed the issue in just a few minutes (two sensors in the fridge/freezer were broken). He had the parts in his van and was able to fix it that day. The only negative was the cost. It was pretty expensive and the parts were not that expensive. If my husband and I had had more time, we could have done some research, bought the parts and had my husband fix it. But, for the convenience and just getting the problem resolved, they were great.

Same Day Service sent a repairman and an apprentice. They came at the scheduled time, analyzed the problem step-by-step--something wrong with the water line, I think--and fixed it within an hour. I would use them again in a heartbeat for any of my appliances.

SDS came out and diagnosed it as a broken oven thermometer, and it would have to be replaced. They said they could not get it. Unfortunately, the company, now HQ'd in New Zealand, had stopped making the part. I called DCS and they encouraged me to see if I could find the part on Ebay or somewhere, because they no longer stocked it. Well, apparently the company stopped making it a while ago, since any available replacements thermostats were long gone anywhere I called all over the country. A couple of replacement part firms suggested a proxy unit which I ordered, but neither would work and I had to return them for refunds. Basically, no thermostat, no oven. We would have to buy a new range. I would not buy a DCS again given this, but replacements from other companies were $6000-$10,000. Not an outlay we had planned on, for sure. So before buying a new range, I called more repair firms to see if they had a way to fix it. Very few even serviced this range. But one from the north shore did, and they agreed to come have a look. That was worth the $150 charge vs. a new range. The repair guy turned the oven on and immediately said it was not the thermostat, since both oven lights were on. He open the bottom cover, flipped a switch that had tripped or something, and that was it. No new parts, no new range. 10 minutes of his time. This happened a year ago. I have waited to write this review since I wanted to be sure the problem was not the thermostat, since that could have gone awry again in a few months. But the range still works beautifully, thank goodness. SDS said they would refund the money I pad them, but that took several months and phone calls and letters to them to do this. And they would not reimburse the repair cost I paid the other company. This is an egregious incident. We were on the cusp of spending $6-10K for an oven we did not need because of a bad diagnosis. So this is not a minor issue. It's the equivielent of a surgeon cutting off the wrong leg when doing an amputation. It is not forgivable.

Arrived on time as promised and was able to fix appliance quickly. Very professional. 15 minutes if work and no parts required cost $200. Very expensive
