Scott Curtice was extremely helpful, engaged and communicative through entire project, with many great practical and aesthetic ideas on design, fixture selection, execution (minimizing disruption to remainder of house not being worked, considering living space arrangements while half of house/bedrooms/bathrooms out of use, and setting up a temporary laundry) and finishes. He was cost conscious and fully transparent about pricing and the effect of various choices and selections throughout, while remaining happy to go ahead with whatever choices we made after weighing on the pros and cons. His project manager Vassili was also great to work with, also very thoughtful about both the functional aspects of the project as well as the look. The final result has exceeded our expectations. "Cannot say enough good things about Mavridis Contracting and its sub-contractors. This was a challenging project in part because the prior remodeling contractor (from forty years ago) cut many corners that needed to be remedied. Mr. Mavridis, his employees, and sub-contractors identified and explained every issue so that we could make informed decisions. The team was courteous, professional, skilled, and very tidy (cleaning up after each day). The finish work (tiling, carpentry, etc.) is excellent. Even the city inspectors provided unprompted compliments on the final product."

"Very well.  I acted as general contractor after my builder disappeared in the middle of the job.  I had some good contractors and some not so good ones.  HS Plastering and Painting was at the top of the good list.  The quality of their work was very good; no complaints there at all.  But what stood out was the experience of working with them.  They came when asked, did what they were asked to do, acted in a professional manner, stood by their work, and were a true pleasure to have as a contractor.  They were quick, worked weekends to get the job done, and didn't cut corners.

We were looking for someone to help with knocking down walls, gut renovating a kitchen and two bathrooms, as well as doing flooring and some work in bedrooms. This review pertains to the quote process. Eric Dutra was very responsive and professional throughout the process, offering insight and past experience as part of the quote. Furthermore, he gave a very detailed and transparent breakdown of the pricing on a line item basis. The pricing seemed very fair and jived with other quotes. we received. "I hired DiOrio Builders to build an addition onto my house with a living area, master bed and bath and additional bedroom. The moment I met Derrick I knew he had knowledge of what needed to be done and the character and integrity to make it happen. He asked the right questions and made suggestions which helped a lot. James coordinated all the activity kept on schedule despite some unforeseen set backs and was able to get subs in when needed. This all happened in the height of covid where supplies were delayed but they were able to stay ahead and account for lead times. They always wore masks and ensured their subs did as well which helped. What I was mostly impressed with was their attention to detail and craftsmanship. The end product looks amazing and I am extremely happy with the end product."
