This was a challenging project in part because the prior remodeling contractor (from forty years ago) cut many corners that needed to be remedied. Mr. Mavridis, his employees, and sub-contractors identified and explained every issue so that we could make informed decisions. The team was courteous, professional, skilled, and very tidy (cleaning up after each day). The finish work (tiling, carpentry, etc.) is excellent. "The work took much longer than expected (4 months) and we ran right down to the max on what our home owner's insurance would allow for us to be put up in a hotel. D & R worked to fit us in around a lot of other jobs and this made it difficult to get much done quickly or more than 1-day per week of work in. One subcontractor was unprofessional and refused to do work he had agreed to causing us a 3-week delay. D & R was open with communication of setbacks or concerns, which we appreciated, and eventually replaced the subcontractor. Overall I am happy with the work. Some small details might be improved in the finish work. For example, there are some small lumps in some drywall patches that the painters might have finished better and one section of ceiling paint that did not match the rest of the ceiling. The flooring was replaced on the entire second floor (apx. 800 sq feet) and they did a great job with this especially considering they had all the furniture to contend with while they did the work. They provide a guarantee for a year for their work. The owner is responsive to contacts and pleasant. I would hire them again."

"Mike Bauman is a real pleasure to work with- as an older single woman, I had had past bad experiences with being talked down to or patronized by male contractors, but that was never the case with Mike. It really felt like we were working together to plan my project and make revisions as we went along. If subcontractors made mistakes, he saw to it that they were corrected at no additional cost to me. I am very pleased with the final results!"

"Billy was one of several contractors I contacted for quotes; his price was on par with a few other builders we contacted. The other contractors I had come out for quotes were a bit pushy in their sales pitch and tried hard to upsell me on composite decking, rail systems, and lots of other work. However, Billy was very relaxed, knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and didn't push anything beyond what I was asking for. 
He arrived on the date work was scheduled to start and completed it in about 4 days. It probably would have taken much less time but the weather was very unforgiving and that forced him and his crew to stop early a couple days. However, they were here about 7AM every morning, were very friendly and professional, and didn't leave any kind of mess.
The final cost was a few dollars under his original quote.

"Our front entries, although just 12 years old were becoming unsafe, rotted in certain areas and in need of major repair. Both stairways had dropped almost an inch because of poor initial construction.  

Edian had done a large trim replacement project for our condo earlier in the year. From that time on he became our contractor of choice. Although his schedule is always tight, he was able to fit us in.

He replaced both stairways including new support stringers.  As usual whenever situations come up, Edian was able to present a solution which made sense. Jacking up both decks and reinforcement was needed to level the deck structure.   

Composite material was used for decking, stairs and railing system. PVC for was employed for the risers and wrapping. The finished product reflects a high level craftsmanship and attention to detail. He did a great job and finished the project on schedule."
