Tighe hires subcontractors that also really care about their work, each brought solid experience and detailed attention to their craft while also knowing when and how to communicate well with Tighe and me when real-time decisions were to be made. Tighe was incredible. The first thing you notice is his attention to detail and his consistent demeanor which makes him a great person to work with on so many levels. We approached Tighe about our kitchen/attached bath remodel in our 100-year-old home and he did not bat an eye about some pretty significant changes that we wanted to make (moving windows, moving a closet and rearranging some of the other walled spaces ON TOP of the normal kitchen fun). The job was also complicated by lead time issues from some of our vendors but Tighe was able to roll with the punches extremely well. His subcontractors are also great and we get compliments on our backsplash tile every time someone sees our new kitchen. I would 100+% recommend Tighe to anyone (and already have) for home repairs, and when the time comes that we're going to fix up the rest of our house we will seek him out first.

Tighe is a master carpenter. He built and installed a kitchen peninsula with extremely tight dimensions and matched the cabinets and countertop to existing custom Italian cabinetry and the existing white quartz countertops. He operated on a faster timeline than any other contractor I had spoken to and was extremely detail oriented. I highly recommend Tighe, you will be extremely pleased.

Tighe completed essentially a gut renovation for our one floor condo, and did a wonderful job. Tighe came as a recommendation from our neighbors who said he did great work for them and this was the case for us as well! Tighe replaced a worn out storm door and exterior door. The work was done quickly and professionally! Highly recommend!

I reached out to Tighe from a friend's recommendation. Although he primarily specializes in interior cabinetry, we had him come out to examine our back door that was in dire need of replacement. Tighe was thorough with his recommendation for work, and helped us select a nice fir wood door stylistically identical to the previous one. He performed remedial work on the door frame (resetting, staining, door hardware install, interior door casing replacement) and made sure that the operation of the door worked well. We reached out to a separate locksmith for some fine-tuning of the locks. Tighe was professional and personable throughout the entire process. We would recommend him for small scale exterior work, and will likely reach out to him in the future for interior work.

Tighe has been the BEST! So reliable and pleasant to work with. He does amazing work and has a great eye for detail. He took down a wall in our kitchen that had electrical and plumbing and then put up a new half wall for us. He also recommended and worked side by side with the plumbers and electricians which made the process so much easier for us. Tighe is an amazing carpenter. He built a custom bookshelf for my kitchen island. He worked with me on the design and built it to those exact specifications. It came out better than my expectations. Tighe is very professional, he always follows up, is on time, and delivers! I canâ t wait for my next project so I can hire him again.

I reached out to Tighe about doing some closet work renovations for us after seeing a recommendation by someone on Instagram and seeing his work. He came on short notice and during Christmas week. We showed him the areas we were considering to have work done. A few weeks later we had him get started on the closet renovations. Each closet just had a rod and shelf (not a great use of the space). Being an architect, I drew up the plans (half ikea parts and half custom) and got a reasonable quote from Tighe. Tighe exceeded my expectations. First of all, heâ s just a really nice guy, and very respective of our home given that I work from home since COVID, and kids are learning remotely. Everything he did was with care, and if something wasnâ t going to match what I had drawn, he communicated with me why it canâ t, and we worked together to have the best outcome. The end result was exactly what I had envisioned. I would recommend Tighe for any renovation, large or small, without hesitation.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Tighe and his work. My husband and I bought a house that has turned into more of a fixer upper than we bargained for, and Tighe has gone above and beyond to help us with each new challenge that has arisen. The original job was to paint the whole interior of the house, refinish the floors and stairs, and rehab the attic into offices. That work is now complete, and we are thrilled with the quality and craftsmanship. Itâ s truly unrecognizable and was quite a feat. Tighe treats your house like itâ s his own, applying care and an exquisite level of detail. The people he hires to help him are all lovely and incredibly skilled. Along the way, Tighe has graciously helped us by finding temporary fixes for the things that were not on the original plan (i.e., we discovered the kitchen needs to be gutted and the front porch and stairs need to be torn down). Those repairs will now be â phase 2â , and we are so glad to have Tighe at the helm. My hope is that he will be available for all of our future house needs. Oh, and heâ s also just a super nice guy!

My wife and I hired Tighe to renovate our kitchen, bathroom, and living room. He is a consummate professional and craftsman, with a keen eye for detail and a strong customer first approach. He went to great lengths to understand our needs and provide us with thoughtful and effective solutions. Our two-month project took two weeks longer than expected (in part because of COVID) and went over budget by around 50%. That said, we are very satisfied with his work and would not hesitate to recommend him to our family and friends. We look forward to working with him for all our future home renovation needs.

My wife and I hired Tighe to transform a dingy attic into two home offices, along with some other carpentry and demolition work. The results are fantastic. I am writing this review in the office he built, which has been a lifesaver during the pandemic when Iâ ve had to work at home. We have had no problems whatsoever with the quality of the work, plus Tighe is a great guy. We hope to hire him again for other projects.

On a recommendation from a friend of ours, we hired Tighe to tear down and rebuild the steps to our front porch. Overall the project took about two days, and we were very impressed with how much pride he takes in his work. Our previous steps were rotting, not up to code, and poorly installed. Tighe's work is rock solid, he has an admirable attention to detail and aesthetics, and he's really a pleasure to work with. We hired him again to repair and reinforce our basement steps, and we're very pleased with the result. We've recommended him to our family as well, and we're looking forward to working with him again in the future.

Tighe is very responsive. He transformed half of the first floor of our old multi-family Jamaica Plain house in to a stylish apartment with all modern amenities. Very skillful with fair pricing. Adapted various elements of the project as it evolved, working closely with us. This was the largest project he did for us but there have been many others and they have all been successful and effective.

Tighe created two pieces of custom furniture for my husband and I and they are FANTASTIC! We wanted a modern inspired coffee table and media cabinet and both pieces are just perfect. We still love them and you can tell the quality is such that they will last a lifetime!
