They exercised great care in handling our Steinway and knew exactly how to take it apart for the trip downstairs and then reassemble it. "Colt Moving was fantastic! Our closing was delayed at the last minute and I had to call to reschedule the move. Colt Moving was very understanding and went out of their way to help us as we tried to come up with a last minute plan. When the move did happen, Jemi, Jacob and Bill were very nice, efficient and helpful! They took care to protect all the items they loaded and moved us in very quickly. We had planned to move some things on our own, using our own truck, but the next day I realized we did not have the time or energy. I sent an email at 2:45am asking if by some small chance they had anyone who could help us move the last remaining items that day. I received a call back a few hours later that they would find someone to help us. True to their word Colt Moving sent us Jemi & Dillon to move the additional items. They were just as wonderful the second time around! Colt Moving was so wonderful to work with and we highly recommend them to anyone who is moving! Thank you Colt Moving!!!!"

"Overall, the move itself went well. The guys did show up about 2-3 hours late, which they said was a problem with the truck. However, they both did an excellent job. They were professional, worked quickly/efficiently, and seemed knowledgeable. So, the biggest problem was more with the owner/manager. I sent a message to them through Angie's List stating what I needed for my move - then they replied telling me I should buy the 2 person 3 hour coupon. I then got a call from the owner/manager a few days prior to the move to confirm. I asked him if there were any additional charges, and he said only if the move lasted longer than the 3 hours, I would have to pay $100 per hour. On the day of the move, after everything was completed, they ended up using an extra hour. I was happy to pay for that, however they said they were told to charge me an additional $70 "travel fee". This did not make sense to me as I had already asked the owner/manager about any additional costs. The guys were nice about it and just had me speak directly to him; after I talked with him, he did take away that additional fee, but it's a stressful thing to have to deal with on a day that is already super stressful. They are definitely the cheapest I've seen, so I would hire them again for this reason but if I were you, I would clarify any additional costs up front."

"The mover called me an hour before the scheduled move time to confirm what items needed moved. He was on his way to get the second guy and get to my house by 10am. After a severe lack of communication, the movers finally showed up and got started around 1:45pm. This was a huge inconvenience because I had other plans to get the rest of my stuff moved that day. The owner, Carlos, got back to me eventually. He was "Out on the water with bad reception." Carlos offered a discount for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. The movers did not bring the dolly they needed to move the piano although I listed the piano in the quote and told the mover on the phone that morning there was a piano to be moved. Once everything else was moved, they were supposed to come back later in the day with the dolly to move the piano. I did not hear back from the movers until after 9:30pm. They were not able to get the equipment they needed in time and promised to come first thing in the morning the next day, Saturday, to move the piano. I did not hear back from the mover at all on Saturday. The owner was surprised to hear this and said he would get another crew to come out on Sunday. It was after 5pm on Sunday before the other crew came around to move the piano. The move was successfully completed by 7pm on Sunday. Altogether, this could have gone better."
