These movers were great! They were punctual, careful with our belongings, worked hard and were very courteous. I would highly recommend them.

They did a great job. The weather was cold and icy but they still managed to move the piano and kept it safe and dry. Very professional and courteous.

One of the best companies I have ever hired! Sherman Moving company pulled through for us in 2019 in a very stressful situation when all of our stuff was transferred from another moving company’s storage. The other company said they could not move us out of state at the last minute. Sherman’s Moving took all our belongings and transferred to their storage and moved us. In 2023, we had no idea we would be moving back to Indy. But, when we decided to move back, that was one thing we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about! There are very few companies I would give an A++. They moved us back to Indy, stored our belongings for 6 months and then moved us when we found a house. From the initial email and calls from Jason (always flexible, accessible and accommodating ) to Maura’s efficient communication and follow up to the guys who moved us, we were super happy with the service. Brandon was exceptional! Thanks again and we will refer Sherman to anyone we know who is moving.

Terrible! Very terrible, It was the worst experience of moving I've ever had and i am 73 years old. They gave me a quote, when they got there i had everything boxed up and color coded and they reboxed everything in large boxes and said that they didn't think they could put it in 1 truck. And then I asked them why they had done that they said that the boxes was old and falling apart. And I had bought the boxes at U-haul before brand new. After they got me loaded the owner showed up and that never happened before in all the times that I've moved. He came in and told me that they needed to keep my stuff overnight and bring it to me the next day. And I asked why, and he said it was a 2 hour trip to my move and the man wanted to be home that night with their family. And I told him, it was only a 45 minute drive and they already had everything loaded up and it was only noon. I told the man that we couldn't do that because my husband is on oxygen and he didn't have equipment to stay overnight and he said, i just asked him out there he just got 2 tanks and I told him those were only good for an hour each and he was mad and just walked away. When they got here they put everything in the wrong place I had a microwave in the bedroom and told me $192 an hour and it the year before it took 3 men 3 hours to load me up and this time it took me 7 man and 5 hours. and when i moved it was a total of 9 hours it should've been 5. and $192 an hour is 9x $1728. when they were finished with everything they wanted $4366 and I said I don't have that much I don't plan on being that much and he said give us a $1000 cash and write 3 checks for $1122 each and all on the same day. I didn't want to do that but they were standing around waiting me to write all those checks. And I wrote that checks under duress and when I realized how much damage they had done to my property, I called them they did $2500 worth of damages to my property. They put boxes on all the bends in my house and I did not realize that and the air condition froze up overnight a solid block of ice. And i had to have a man out here to repair it $385. They had told me when I wrote the checks that they would cash one each month. I called them and they said if I would give them a $1000 they would give back the three checks. So i drove with a $1000 from Anderson to Indianapolis and they wouldn't give me back the checks. I had some of the damaged property in my truck and I showed it to them and they denied that it was messed up. It was demolished and you have to be blind to not see it. So, I showed him an umbrella that was ripped in half and he threw it back from my truck and said "If you think that you are getting $3000 for this you are not" and about that time Blaine walked out and blaine was the man that talked me into keeping the stuff overnight he stormed out that door and I thought he was gonna hit me. He was screaming and yelling and throwing his stuff out and pointing his finger at my face and then I tried to showcase some pictures to them the things that they ruined and he kept saying he couldn't see them and i told him we could go inside so that he could see them. I walked with a limp and I bent over and when i started to walk inside he told me to be careful not to fall i don't want you to sue me for this too. and he said that 3 times and he said that in a mocking way he was making fun of me. When we got inside he wouldn't even look at them he said he didn't have time. He went upstairs and came back down with his sister Maura and she had the checks and i handed jason the invoice for the airconditioner and she put it out of his hand and handed it back to me. and said you can pay for this yourself and she shooked the checks at me and said I'm gonna cash these. I went to the bank and told the manager what had happened and asked him what I should do. The bank manager said stop all the payments on the check and sue them. I stopped payment on the checks and they tried to cash all 3 checks on the same day. I did not want to sue them because of my health and I'm just not up to it. but I wrote a review on yelp. and jason responded and said he had reached out to me several times trying to resolve the problem. and that i wrote him two bad checks. He has never once reached out to me, NOT ONE TIME and the checks were not bad I stopped payment on them and they would not talk to me at all about it and then I told them I am willing to settle for a $1000 meaning I would not get $2500 after damages and they would not even respond other than to say, "SUE ME". This is a company that I had hired many time and their grandfather started it and their father took it over and they are ruining it. And if you wanna see some more bad reviews, look on Yelp.

Timing was critical and Sherman worked with me to clear the house, store, the move 3 days later to meet closing requirements. Excellent move with no damages or issues.

It went incredible. Was contacted immediately and scheduled a convenient time. Crew showed up on time and they were amazing. Moving is stressful enough, but this group made is the smoothest and least stressful move my family has ever experienced. We cannot thank you enough.

I hired the absolute worst company I could have possibly found when I hired Sherman's. I've used movers in the past from other companies, never had a problem. This was the worst experience of my life. They clearly did NOT listen nor honor any instructions whatsoever. I asked them to mark the contents on the boxes. I had a broken ankle that required surgery to fix it. I was not able to pack my items nor help much at all, which was why I paid to have it done. I gave instructions for unloading and they clearly didn't care. Bathroom items being packed with kitchen and or food items...I was left with boxes of food out in a barn, and items from exterior closets in my new living area. I have a wooden stand with wicker drawers that they beat up ridiculously. I can't even find my DJ equipment, Bose sound system nor my main laptops to even apply for work. A $14k sewing machine that they didn't even put the cover on and packed the cord separately, still not found. A destop computer with power cord plugged into it and monitor sitting right next to it, haven't found the power cord nor the monitor. I could keep going, this is unreal. Intentional bs? I paid nearly $4k for this move....for this? Really? I've never been treated so horrendous from a moving company. It was clearly because of their lead guy, Brandon's attitude, who was the rudest person I've ever met and so full himself. He was the only one that cursed in my home that day. ....unless they treat everyone like this? I emailed the company, they refunded me a whole $200 for a $4k move from h***. What a slap in the face. I would never recommend using Sherman's.

They were extremely prompt/ service

They were excellent in packing and moving us. When I was unsure of what I wanted to do, they gave suggestions that always ended up being right. Of the 14 moves we have had in the past, they were by far the best. Even their price was reasonable for the service they gave. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again.

It went great. Very professional and the guys worked very hard with a great attitude. The trucks (2) were very clean and every single box arrived in good shape. My beds were put together so I could sleep there on the first night etc.

They moved a 3,000 sq-ft home for a great price

Absolutely awesome! We could not have chosen a better provider! There wasn't anything they weren't willing to assist with. We were concerned about being able to get enough packing supplies with so many businesses being closed due to COVID19. We were also concerned we would not be able to pack a 1,200 square foot apartment and 2 single car garages of household goods, personal property and tools and be ready to load the trucks in 15 days. They made what seemed like an "overwhelming and impossible" task quite simple. They were always available to assist and answer any questions we had - even help with those outside of their area of responsibility. The entire process and costs were laid out from the beginning and everything was right on target - no surprises! Every single employee (regardless of what their role was in the company - including the owner) treated us and our property with the upmost respect and always had our best interest in mind. The entire staff of Sherman Moving are truly amazing people who went above and beyond to remove the worries and burden of moving from our shoulders and carry it on their own!!!

It ended up being an icy day which made the move more challenging but the men were responsive to what was needed for a safe, hazard free move.

The job went great. They were able to move everything between the two houses in a single day, with minimal effort by me.

Kevin, Mike and Devon were the young men who performed the moving. They were extremely careful and placed the furniture exactly where I asked them. Nothing was damaged in any way. They were careful because I had new carpeting and paint. They wore shoe covers and were very professional!!!

This is the first time I have used professional movers. I selected Sherman Moving because of their high rating and great reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. They took great care with my belongings and worked diligently. They were friendly and professional all at the same time. They gave me the Angie's list discount even though I was unable to print it from the website. The office person did fail to advise me that the discount was only good for the 1st 3 hours so I was a little disappointed with that. But am happy with the overall move. The office called prior to the move to confirm. The guys showed up on time and although it was a long day, they worked efficiently and did not waste time trying to prolong it as I have heard that other companies do. When we got to the storage unit, they packed it well and there is even room to put more things if I need to. They charged what they quoted me and their prices were in line with other movers that I had explored. At the end of the move, I was missing 2 of the 3 glass shelves to my curio cabinet that we had put in storage. Jason sent me somewhere to have the 2 shelves cut at their expense and it was handled promptly. Overall, I am WELL PLEASED with the move and with Sherman and have been recommending them to my friends. When the time comes that I am ready to move back into a place of my own, I will be calling Sherman Moving to do my move. Thank you Jason, Robbie and Scott!!

The move went extremely well. The work performed far exceeded our expectations. The crew sent to do the work consisted primarily of long term employees, some of which had 20+ years of experience with the company. We did most of the packing ourselves, which accelerated the move, however, there were some fragile items that we were unsure of how to pack and the crew packed such items with care. They moved limited household items to an apartment where we will live for a short period of time as construction of our new house is being completed, while the bulk of our household goods were moved into Sherman's storage facility. Once we move to the new house, they will collect the items moved to our short term apartment along with the bulk of our household goods placed into storage and deliver them to our new house. The cost of doing all this work was fair and well worth the cost; we had a large house (approximately 3,100 SF) that was completely furnished with all the necessary household items. We look forward to our final move and expect that it will go as well as the first move. Moving is extremely stressful and the crew sent to our house helped alleviate such stress. I highly recommend Sherman Moving and Storage for your moving and storage needs. One other positive aspect of Sherman is that they are a local company and it shows in their work.

Excellent service. Initially they delivered boxes, tape and packing paper to us to do our packing. Our crew (James, Jared, Mike and Kevin) were very positive and experienced, had a large household loaded and ready to go in 2.5 hours. Even dismantled and reassembled our Sleep Number bed with no problem. We would definitely recommend Sherman Moving.

I first hired them to move my large and/or heavy furniture and a few boxes to Illinois. I chose Sherman because their bid was slightly lower compared to other movers and they appeared to have lots of experience. Experience was also very important because I had many items that were fragile and irreplaceable. eg. Large mirrors, glass curio cabinet, etc. They were very professional, polite, and handled everything with great care. I hired them to move our large and/or heavy furniture and a few other things to a storage unit for the very next day! I received the same treatment even though the items I kept weren't nearly as fragile and they are easily replaceable. I then hired them again, 2 days later, to move my husbands woodworking equipment. (Note: I rented a truck with lift to help with the very very large/heavy equipment. They used their truck as well as the truck I rented and treated the truck I rented with great care.) They took great care to move his equipment as well as moving some of his wood! I will not hesitate to use them again to do our final move. Great crew, scheduling was easy, and they very accommodating. I didn't want to spend the money to move, but after my 1st experience with Sherman - I felt it was worth biting the bullet for so many reasons. Last, I want to note the approx. cost that I'm going to list. It took one whole day to move some of our belongings to Illinois (Missouri border). This included moving my big, heavy, and some fragile stuff from my basement to my sons basement. The 2nd move was done to move my large and heavy belongings to a storage unit that took about a couple hours. The 3rd move included helping me move furniture and large/heavy belongings from my loft, moving my husbands shop equipment/tools, and large pieces of wood. This took about 1/2 a day.

It was great! The guys showed up and got right to work. They remained efficient for the whole process. The whole process, including drive time, only took 6.5 hours. Everything was handled with care and thus far I've not discovered any issues. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone moving around or out of Indianapolis.

The move went very well. The three workmen were very professional and quite enjoyable to be with. We have been looking through boxes trying to find some things, e.g., the computer key board was one (found it). Overall it was an excellent move.
