"I have used Handyman Pros a number of times for large and small jobs around my house and have been most pleased with their fast response and excellent work. "We used Eric and his team to give our house a complete face-lift...new kitchen, new bathrooms, wood floors, new doors, window framing, painting, can lights...I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting. They did AMAZING work! Eric and his guys are professional, the communication was great, the finishing touches elite, and the job was finished on the date he said it would be done (which is unheard of). I recommend Eric to all of my friends and I will continue to use him for projects that come up in our house."

Small jobs welcome

"Tom was prompt and thorough, and worked tirelessly to do a complete and excellent job. I was impressed both by the quality of his work and the speed with which he accomplished it. He actually did 3 different jobs for me, including installing an awning, repairing a pool and installing a new liner, and replacing 75 feet of discharge pipeline. He can do anything! I would highly recommend hiring him."

Small jobs welcome

"Itâ s usually pretty difficult too find a good contractor for drywall jobs especially a complete overhaul of a garage that was unfinished since 1998. That being said I couldnâ t be more happy with the work Joe preformed. He was extremely cost competitive(has 3 quotes) professional and meticulous with his work. He arrived on time, stayed late when the job called for it and finished work a day early. For those that are on the fence on who to hire as I was, Joe is top notch. Put it this way, I have several jobs and a remodel of the interior of my house and Joe will be the first guy I call to check his availability when I begin those projects."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

No. Removing the cause of concern will only lead to deeper concern. You cannot use any fire-powered appliance like a fireplace or furnace without an escape route for the smoke and fumes. If you remove the flue intending to repair or replace it, you should only use the fireplace, wood stove, or furnace once the flue is in working order. If you cannot replace the flue you have removed, call a chimney repair professional immediately.

Having a pellet stove can indeed raise your insurance rates since they're a relatively common cause of fires in the home. However, rate increases vary by insurance provider so you should reach out to yours to determine exactly how much your rates might increase with a new pellet stove install.

Yes, dead palm tree fronds are a fire hazard. The leaves become highly combustible because the dead fronds don’t fall off the tree themselves, especially in hot, sunny climates. In fact, many wildfires start from dead palm fronds. Palm trees can also easily catch fire from lighting, electrical power lines, and fireworks. So, cutting off dead palm fronds before they become a fire hazard is important.

No material is genuinely fireproof, so there’s no genuinely fireproof safe. Any material would break down if exposed to a hot enough temperature for long enough. That said, safes can withstand certain house fires. Manufacturers use the term “fireproof” synonymously with “fire resistant.”

Burning a single palm tree stump, if you’re careful, is technically doable DIY. However, you should always take precautions to control the fire and do research if you’re burning multiple types of trees.

Some trees, such as ornamental trees, black cherry, and some oak trees, release toxins into the air when burned that can be irritating to your lungs (or even dangerous) to breathe in.
