Was given 2 hour window, called 25 mins before they arrived. One tech went right to the fireplace and started cleaning while 2nd inspected the chimney and cap using a drone. They were done in 20 minutes, reviewed their inspection with us, and texted me cap photos from the drone. We used them before, and would use them again.

Rich and Chad came out to my parents home and during the inspection discovered there had been a chimney fire in both chimney's at some point and they were unsafe to use in that condition. They carefully showed us the camera images and explained what everything was to my elderly parents. They suggested we contact our home insurance provider and said they would provide the information to submit. The estimate was very detailed, including photos and brochures about chimney safety and I submitted the information. State Farm immediately agreed to cover the damage and a crew from Jiminy Chimney came out and completed the work in horrible cold conditions because my Dad wanted to have a fire in the fireplace for Christmas. I could appreciate the guys at Jiminy Chimney more and have nothing but good things to say! Thanks so much, my parents enjoyed lovely fires all winter.

High winds blew our old chimney cap off. We called and received a return call within a couple of hours. Snow delayed visit but two days later they came, discussed options, we agreed on what to do, they went to get a needed part, were back quickly and had the new cap on in no time. We are very happy with the result as well as how quickly it was done!

An excellent experience. Very knowledgeable and extremely concerned that we were comfortable with the work that was being performed. They were very concerned about their reputation. I have worked with many contractors over the past 40 years and you can tell pretty quickly who is trustworthy and who is scamming. I have already recommended them to two neighbors who were waiting to know how our experience went.

The whole process was easy and flawless. Josh came out and assessed our need, which agreed with other professionals who had looked at our deteriorating chimney. Got a great price, too. We scheduled the rebuild, chose our new brick, Joe, John, and Josh tore the old one down, and the next day rebuilt what can only be described as a work of art. It’s perfect and better than the original when it was new. Just 3 days of rebuild and 100% done. It’s beautiful and I couldn’t be more pleased. We’ll certainly have them back for any other services they provide. Well done, guys, and thank you.

Determined chimney needed liner, we hired others to do after several bids. Chimney not used in long time, so didn't need cleaning. Kind of a waste of money on that.

The job went better than expected! Matt & him team were prompt, professional, focused on the task at hand and completed the entire job in a day. Updated us on the new hardware installed for the damper and basic advice to maintain in coming years. We will definitely refer to friends/neighbors and use for annual chimney service.

I highly recommend Jiminy Chimney. The job entailed to reline and waterproof the chimney. Jim O’Dell was the technician that gave me the estimate and also did the work. There were no pressure sales. He told me what needed to be done. He answered and explained in detail what I wanted to know. I watched him do the job and feel that he did an excellent job. He is detailed and did the job in the right amount of time without rushing. He was on time, did the job, cleaned up and took my payment at the end of the job. Absolutely happy with the work and feel that I got what I paid for.

They rebuilt the chimney as requested but never completed the job. I called and emailed them multiple times about it but never heard anything back. If they would have finished the job I would have been happy with them. Now I need to hire someone to come out and add the cap to the chmney.

They came out and put the cap back on and only charged me a service call, nothing extra. They were able to reattach the cap and it has stayed on since then. I was pleased with them. I've used them before and will use them again. They stand by their work.

I was very happy. I didn't have a particular problem with the fireplace, but I knew it had been a long time since anyone had looked at it. They were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. They had come out a year prior to look at another fireplace.
I went with them because they offered an Angie's List deal and they were in my area. There are not very many others that offer this service. It worked out well.

Still waiting for a reply. After all was said and done, not worth chasing them down. I wanted to know if I would receive a credit since no cleaning was performed. I think it was $139.00.

In your case it was a pre-paid deal and the fireplace should of been swept after the inspection process was completed.
