The Handy Veteran

It was our third time using The Handy Veteran and it will not be the last. Kevin and his team are absolutely top notch! Our first job with Kevin was to replace and paint all of the wood and trim in our entire house, replace carpet with LVP flooring on a third of the floors in our 3000sqf home, refaced our fireplace, install a new front door, & paint the entire house. Second job was to repair and paint our large deck. This last job was to replace more floors, remodel our guest bathroom and hang multiple lights fixtures. Our first job was in 2020 and the initial work they did is still perfect. Kevin stands by his work. He is not satisfied until the job is done right and was extremely accommodating to all of our requests. He wanted us satisfied and happy with the work and even made some great suggestions that really enhanced the final outcome. Him and his team are extremely respectful of our time, professional, friendly and trustworthy. Also very fair with their pricing!

I had exterior lights installed, drywall ceiling repair, shower tile repair and the tv mounted on wall. Kevin is prompt, friendly and most importantly very skilled with any of the work he and his crew do. They also clean up the work area so that you don’t even know they were there. Everything is perfect, I can’t say enough about how satisfied I am with the results. The thing that impresses me most is I had 4 very different jobs, and each one was completed like it was his area of expertise. They are very competitively priced on top of it all. I highly recommend The Handy Veteran- you won’t be disappointed

Have been using "The Handy Veteran" for all my projects around the house for the past 5 years, Little and big. I'm 76 years old and can remember the days of quality work and great customer interaction with all skilled tradesmen. Well, look no further... Kevin has all it takes to do the work with quality. Kevin and Brad did an amazing job! They replaced the subfloor that had been damaged by a leak from my toilet, installed new flooring, and put in a new toilet, making the bathroom look brand new. They showed up on time, stayed until the job was completely finished, and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. Super friendly, professional, and hardworking. I highly recommend them!

Kevin and Chris did a great job on our front porch project! They rebuilt the casing around the three posts and installed black steel railing which is sturdy and looks sharp! They were able to rebuild the posts to look like the idea picture we shared prior to starting the project. They were on time, respectful, and communicated with us throughout the project, confirming details regarding design choices, and letting us know next steps. We would definitely work with this team again!

We have had them do several jobs over the years from building a deck, to installing doors, outdoor lights and exterior painting. We have been extremely happy with anything they have worked on. We will be calling them for more projects in the future. We highly recommend them.

Kevin did a really great job. You can definitely tell that he has a lot of experience and knowledge plus he’s very friendly. I’m definitely really happy with how things turned out and plan to hire him again in the future.

Excellent and professional.

I am an 80 year old veteran and the Handy Veteran Kevin asked if I would write a review. I was very pleased with all work done by Kevin and Teko. They installed new garage door, new steps from garage to first level, replaced stainless steal sink and faucet, and doorknobs throughout. Also, stopped all the floor squeaks because my house is over 50 years old. Kevin also repaired rod iron rail at the bottom of my exterior steps. Teko removed paneling and painted one bathroom and installed new stool and second bathroom with new stool and replaced all door handles. I was very pleased with all work done. Kevin and Teko were very easy to work with and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

After searching for months for someone to convert our loft into a nursery with no luck, we came across The Handy Veteran, and could not be happier with the finished product! Kevin and Tito were very professional to work with. We felt comfortable allowing them into our home and were very impressed by their work ethic. Kevin and his business were excellent! He was always prompt with appointments and communication before, during, and after the job. Kevin was reasonable, listened well and gave me quality work with a fair and reasonable price for window replacement. I got exactly what I was looking for and he and his crew busted their tail to do a quick, neat and professional job. We initially cold called Kevin and had no personal recommendations to trust, so this was quite a gamble for us. It worked out in our favor. Kevin did a wonderful job on the deck. Disappointed with damage caused on the lawn. Poorly fixed. Drywall patching and painting is okay, could be better .

Kevin and his crew (Tito and Zach) were great! Very easy to work with from start to finish. The new deck is exactly what we were hoping for to replace the original deck that was in desperate need of replacing. We would highly recommend them and plan to have them come back for some other projects soon!
