Customers say: True professional

"We had more than 80% of the old house remodeled with new additions. It’s a daunting task and huge project. However, Dimitritis and Joshua made it easy and did a great job in completing our dream home. Joshua was fantastic managing the daily tasks and excellent with details. They were very responsive in re-addressing even with minor adjustments. Definitely recommend."

"I hired ULB-Dry Waterproofing out of Villa Park to repair some cracks in my house’s foundation. Boy, am I glad I did! The three men, Margarito, Deivy and John, worked so hard and did a great job. They found more cracks, fixed those as well as installing a window well drain. My basement is as dry as a bone!! Great company to work with and great prices too!"

"Eddie and his crew did a fantastic job rebuilding the wing walls and pouring new concrete steps at our house. From bidding to contract to work and cleanup, E&B were easy to work with and provided excellent results. Would definitely hire again."

"Crew arrived on time and worked efficiently. As the project progressed, 2 foundation cracks were discovered which added $900 to the original estimate. Old insulation along foundation wall was removed and replaced with silvery foam sheets. Joints were taped. Some leveling of the floor was done. Sheets were laid over the gravel floor also (crawlspace is not used for storage). 2 window well covers were installed. Our main goal was to have a warmer floor in the room above. We haven't noticed a major improvement yet."

"Out of several companies I called to install a window well, Manny was the only one who understood what I wanted and gave me an upfront cost. I had 2 other window well drains previously installed by the prior owner of my home. Other companies wanted to talk me into things I did not need or want. They were prompt, completed the work with minimal issue and left the area relatively clean."

Customers say: Super punctual

"The construction went very well. It actually was completed before the estimate - it helped that I wasn't living here at the time. The workmanship is stellar and I am very pleased with the final product. They were responsive to my requests for little things to be changed - like the lights were installed upside down from what I wanted or the toilet paper holder needed to be moved. Angelo was friendly and I felt that he was taking care of my house & me like a father. Rose in the office answered every email and question in a timely manner. She's also followed up when I had an issue with my new dishwasher."

"Great communication from getting the estimate all the way through the completion of the work. For every appointment, I would get a phone call in advance with a very reasonable time window. They did a very good job lifting one side of the garage floor without any cracks in the slab. Cleaned up everything at the end and the price was very good."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

When hiring a pro for concrete leveling in Glenview, prioritize local experience. A qualified contractor will understand the area's clay-heavy soils and freeze-thaw cycles. Verify they carry comprehensive liability insurance and offer a strong warranty, often for two to five years. Also, confirm their expertise with different methods, like polyurethane injection, and request a detailed written estimate before any work begins on your property.

Helpful?

The climate in IL significantly affects concrete leveling. The region's 40 to 60 annual freeze-thaw cycles cause frost heave and concrete stress, while heavy spring rains can saturate the clay-heavy soil, leading to settlement. Because of these weather patterns, the optimal time for projects is from late spring to early fall. Professionals must account for these conditions to ensure a lasting repair.

Helpful?

After a concrete leveling project in Glenview, IL, you should keep all essential paperwork. This includes the detailed work invoice, before-and-after photos, and any warranty documentation, which often lasts two to five years. You should also file away property improvement records for tax purposes and documents related to Cook County property assessments. Retaining these records provides a complete history of the work performed on your property.

Helpful?

For maintaining your concrete in Glenview, IL, a basic kit is essential. Keep polyurethane-based sealant and a concrete crack filler suitable for freeze-thaw cycles on hand. You will also need a wire brush for cleaning and a digital level to monitor for any new settlement. For winter, stock up on concrete-safe de-icing products like calcium chloride and use snow removal tools with rubber edges.

Helpful?

In Glenview, a seasonal inspection routine is key. In spring, check for damage from frost heave after the harsh winter. During summer, monitor sealant in joints. Fall is crucial for pre-winter preparation; seal any new cracks and clear debris that traps moisture. Throughout winter, perform visual checks for ice formation and any obvious settling, documenting concerns for a professional assessment in the spring.
