"“I hired this electrician to install recessed lighting in my living room. They arrived right on time, explained the process clearly, and completed the work efficiently. The installation looks fantastic, and they left everything clean afterward. Pricing was fair and matched the original estimate. I’d definitely recommend them and will use their services again.”"

"After a great experience with Rick rebuilding our back staircase--and seeing other glowing reviews of his work--we chose him for our bathroom remodel. We picked out all of our own fixtures (sink, toilet, towel hooks, mirror, lights, tiles, paint, grout, etc.) and sent Rick copies of the receipts so he knew exactly what we were getting. This helped him provide an accurate estimate and plan accordingly. Since this is our only bathroom, having access restored quickly was a top priority. While the project took some time due to planning, subcontracting the electrician, installing a brand-new window, reglazing the existing tub, and working around the holidays, Rick made sure disruptions were minimal. The toilet was only unavailable for 24 hours and the shower for just three days total--impressive given the scope of the work! The craftsmanship was excellent, and everyone involved in the project was professional, skilled, and trustworthy."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

No, you can’t completely fireproof a house. There is always a chance that a fire can break out inside or outside your home. Even if most of the home is built with fireproof materials, a long-burning fire can still cause damage. Still, fireproofing efforts can buy you additional time to evacuate and give you a better chance of salvaging your home after a fire rather than needing to rebuild entirely.

A chimney liner isn’t required for an outdoor fireplace; you don’t technically need one if the masonry chimney uses the proper dimensions and is built to code. However, a chimney liner does serve as a protective coating for the flue. Adding a liner could improve performance, safety, and durability. In short, while not necessary, it wouldn’t hurt.

DIY cleaning is possible, but professionals ensure thorough soot removal and check for hazardous creosote buildup.

Attics often contain a mix of insulation, electrical wiring, and other materials that can pose fire risks. That’s why furnaces should be installed in the attic with proper insulation and clearance from combustible materials. Additionally, the furnace should be equipped with proper ventilation and heat shields to prevent the buildup of excessive heat in the attic space. Regular inspections and maintenance are also crucial to identify and address any potential fire hazards.

No, it is not safe to use an outlet that sparked. A spark from an outlet could indicate a short circuit, loose or frayed wiring, or other serious damage. Continuing to use an outlet that sparks can increase the risk of electrical shock, electrical fires, and other hazards. It's important to turn off the power to the outlet at the circuit breaker if possible and avoid using the outlet until a licensed electrician has inspected and repaired it.
