"One crew went on top of the chimney to inspect the fireplace while the second crew swept inside the fireplace pit (?). They found some cracks in the chimney, which they suggested to repair before using the fireplace for the potential fire hazard. They were courteous and professional. They gave us an estimate for the repair and would have cost 2k or more. Ultimately, we decided to wait on using our fireplace and get more estimates in the future."

"We’ll be using Superior Chimney again for our wood burning fireplace needs. We needed a mechanical cleaning. The team came out and was able to give a quote and complete the work in the same visit. They were friendly and polite, and the price undercut a previous quote we had received by $300."

"Professional, trustworthy, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient. Fernando and Jesus gave us a call 30 minutes before arriving. Examined our fireplace and explained what they discovered and gave us several solution options . They swept the chimney, cleaned the fire box, and examined the chimney top. They caulked around the cap. Great service ! 5 stars!!"

"Our fireplace needed to be relined. When Jon and Ron looked at the project to provide a quote they observed additional items with bricks at the top of the chimney and cracked bricks in the fire box not communicated to me by another contractor. They worked safely and professionally to repair all the issues. At the end of the project they cleaned up and provided a complete walk thru of the job."

"Greg and team were excellent, very communicative and easy to work with. They did a phenomenal job rebuilding our paver patio foundation and re-laying our pavers. It looks better than it did when it was first installed. I highly recommended Greg and team for all of your paver needs."

"The job was done to my satisfaction, the technician took good care of the floors, he laid drop cloths from the entrance to the fire place. A certified chimney technician was very courteous, efficient and clean. I so glad I called Angi for this project."

"Rob came out to inspect our chimmey and fire place, however, we needed a cap put on the chimmey at this time. After inspecting the chimmey, we found out we need some maintenance inside and around the chimmey also. We were given what I'd call a reasonable price for parts and labor and agreed to have the work done. The job was done professionally and swiftly and with respect for our home inside and out, my wife was really pleased. We will definitely recommend Rob and his team to friends and family and have scheduled a cleaning and gas fireplace upgrade for the fall, Thank you Rob."

"The overall experience was great. These guys know what they are doing. They tuckpointed a settlement crack and cleaned and patched a hole where PVC exits from. They removed the old mortar patch, which did not match in color with the existing brick and mortar, and filled it with material that matched. They even went an extra step in letting me pay in two installments as these are tough economic times. They may be a bit on the pricey side, but my understanding is that they employ union masoners. I am a firm believer in that 95% of the time, you get what you pay for. I would definitely hire this company again."

"My fireplace never looked right. And it was off centered. So when Anthony came to see it, he showed me how badly it had been installed and how potentially unsafe it was. And a fireplace is very important to me. So he performed a miracle. You can tell by the included pictures. Even the done picture doesn't do it justice. I am beyond pleased. My room has taken on a lovely warm look and feel. He was very knowledgeable and informative and professional. I would highly recommend Anthony for any fireplace needs."

FAQs for fire pit installation projects in Niles, IL

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
