They found some cracks in the chimney, which they suggested to repair before using the fireplace for the potential fire hazard. They were courteous and professional. They gave us an estimate for the repair and would have cost 2k or more. Ultimately, we decided to wait on using our fireplace and get more estimates in the future."

"If you are considering to build a fireplace at home, JPL Masonry will do an excellent and professional job at a very reasonable price-point, considering the quality and workmanship that goes into it. Jonathan and his team built our fireplace exactly how we envisioned it to be and also advised us on the stone color and overall dimensions of what would go well in our living room. What we really appreciated was the fact that nothing was ever rushed and that communication and scheduling flexibility was awesome. Jonathan did his best to work around our schedule and was always prompt at replying to texts/phone-calls and overall communication etc. He even messaged us pictures of available fire insert options which not many contractors would do. He takes great pride in doing a solid and detail orientated job, in addition to dressing the area with floor mats and side screens to ensure our hardwood floors were kept clean throughout the entire project. "Fantastic. I have a large wood burning fireplace that was due for service. Chris created a video of the chimney from top to bottom that clearly indicated how bad it actually was. It was determined that it would be ultimately be much cheaper to install a gas insert than completely repair. Being a country boy, all my life I've had a wood burning fireplace and enjoyed the smell & general 'ambiance" that it provided, but now I don't miss it a bit. Most importantly, my gas bill is noticeably lower. Chris even stopped by several weeks later just to make sure everything was running smoothly. Best customer service I've experienced in quite a while. Highly recommend!!"
