"In January 2023, Steve Durkiewicz stepped into a project that had previously become a financial nightmare and turned it into the dream project that we had first imagined. We had previously hired and paid ($1,765.00) a different person/business that claimed to be a licensed and experienced electrician, to install new lighting in our kitchen and home office, as well as install recessed lighting in our family room. But the job was a disaster, unprofessional and substandard - e.g. all electrical wiring was incorrect, ceiling drywall wire routing in relation to studs/framing was incorrect (i.e. ceiling drywall could not be repaired due to lack of space), etc. Steve came in and repaired all of that. With patience and professionalism, he explained every step as he made corrections, and still completed the task in a timely manner! Thank you, EMF Electric! You'll definitely hear from me again!"

"I had an overloaded kitchen circuit shoot fire through a receptacle (and melt the whole thing down) a few days before I went on a European trip. I managed to use extension cords to keep my kitchen going until I returned. I had notified several companies before I left but I did not understand what "Flat Pricing" meant. BoBo contacted me directly through an email I supplied on the Next Door app and I arranged for their services when I returned. Two young fellows arrived on time with all the equipment needed. They assessed my problem and offered several solutions and quoted prices for each one and I just said: "What would you do if this were your house?" They "split" (re-wired) the overworked circuit into 3 separate dedicated lines, provided me with 3 GFI receptacles for the kitchen and replaced all of the mis-matched circuit breakers in my electrical panel. New countertops, cabinets and an island were installed. Tile was removed from the kitchen/ foyer and replaced with hardwood floors. They gave us a time frame for 4 months. We added on painting, carpet installation. tiling a hallway and new vanity and toilet in the half bath. "I wish all the contractors on this basement project were as good to deal with as Family Waterproofing. Throughout the whole process, communication was good. Ken the owner was responsive and patient in answering all my questions and addressing concerns. They prepared a detailed contract of all work to be performed, and did what they said they would. I like that they did an exploratory dig after signing the contract to make sure we had a solid plan and avoid any surprises during installation. There was an area under the basement stairs and an old cistern that required a creative solution. They came up with a solid plan that didn't add extra cost. I asked them to pour some extra concrete under the stairs which wasn't included in the contract, which they did for a good price. The crew was friendly and had a good natured camaraderie on the job. The overall cost was very fair and we received great service and quality. They are honest, care about their customers and want you to be happy. Now I'm looking forward to a big rain!"
