Ultimate Kitchen Design LLC

We are currently trying to press criminal charges against Mr. Lambert and Ultimate Kitchens.  Do not hire this company.  Certainly do not give him any money or deposits, you will never see your money again.  We have since learned that he has done this to other customers.  He also has not paid his sub-contractors!  When the help we hired confronted Mr. Lambert , he claimed our cabinets and supplies were in a warehouse up north but that he didn't have a truck to get them.  The two contractors brought their trucks and said let's go, give us the receipts and we'll all go get the materials right now.  Mr. Lambert turned around and left my house through the backstairs in the basement.  He have never seen him again or our money or supplies or services.  It has been several weeks since he has abandoned our job site.  Despite the recommendation of the local police department and the Il Better Business Bureau, Mr. Lambert has made NO attempt to offer an indication on how he intends to make this right, return our funds etc.  He simply took off with our money.  Buyer beware - do not use Larry Lambert, Lawrence Lambert or Ultimate Kitchens for any products or services.
You can verify our awful experience with the Barrington Hills Police Department, the IL Better Business Bureau and the IL Attorney General's office who has just received the full complaint.
 As to the second contract for the remodel of our kitchen, he never did one thing with regards to that contract and he has our deposit of $7,400.  To make it worse, we purchased all the new appliances for our kitchen because he told us our new cabinets were in and all he had to do was pick them up - thus the reason we gave him the money for the cabinets.
We are now faced with paying for all of these products and services for a second time.  
Do not use Ultimate Kitchens, or Mr Lawrence (Larry) Lambert for any services!!!!!!!

We talked for some time, but they never spent too much time with us. We originally wanted to do an island that had four pieces. We decided to make it 50% larger and they came back with another estimate which was double of what he had quoted previously. We did not feel comfortable. We were then going to have them do the tile work and we had picked up a tile. He told us that he would get the tile for a discounted price. The price he gave did not have any discount. We already had a price from the showroom and we felt that we cannot trust him. It was very disappointing. I think he needs to give more thorough estimates and when he gives estimates he has to say what it does cover and what it does not so that the quote will not mislead people. He said the reason the price was doubled was because he added more cabinets and different things. I could see that it would add up, but I don’t understand why did he not recommend that originally. He has good staff, but we could not trust him.

I bought these cabinets because we thought they'd be great in a "lake side" environment, which they are! They are made of MDF material, but are painted white which I feel is better than a laminate white which can peel around heat. They were reasonable in price too which again fit our "summer" house. They were a little difficult (or maybe just different) to install according to our carpenter, but they look great! The kitchen designer was great to work with and had the "patience of a saint" with my changes!

He had excellent contractors. We are british and I very much liked the designs of the cabinetry. He was very flexible. We kind of designed our own bathroom and he was able to work with that very, very well. We are very, very pleased with the results. His punctuality is excellent. His price was very good. The quality was also excellent, as well as the friendliness of all the workers. If you book with Ultimate Kitchen you can be sure he will try as hard has he can to make you happy. If you have any problems his motto is that he will try and change things to make you happy. He really does his best and we are pleased with the results. If we were to do another house Larry with Ultimate Kitchen would absolutely be our first choice.

Larry is very easy to work with. His design was excellent and the workmanship of the subcontractors was outstanding.

The owner seemed liked he had a lot of experience with kitchens.

He gave me computer designs of the kitchen. He came out to measure the kitchen and vanities more than one time. He came on the delivery day to make sure they were all good. He kept in contact with me the whole time during the process. I do not have any complaints with him. I would recommend them.
