"We first contacted Terry and Jody in December of 2013. They had a backlog of work and were not able to start until July. I chose the cabinets in early June and there is a 6-week wait before they come in. Actual work started around mid-July and was not completed until mid-September. Part of the reason for this was that there was a 3 week wait from when the Cambria representatives measured the lower cabinets (they must be in place before measurements will be guaranteed by Cambria) until Cambria could install the countertop. Terry and Jody were very good about keeping me informed constantly, and were overall great to work with. Jody was there at 7 a.m. almost every morning that work was to be done. I left Jody and his workers there while I went to work and they locked up. They did great quality work and the kitchen looks beautiful! The quote I was given for the work was $35,300 but that included a certain allowance for cabinets and for backsplash (done in a plain horizontal stacked subway tile), granite countertops, sink and faucet. I ended up choosing upgrades to the quoted cabinets and quartz instead of granite, with a marble backsplash instead of tile. I asked for a chevron design behind my stove and that ended up costing extra because it takes extra time for the subcontractor to do it, so be aware of that wrinkle if you want a special design. So they ended up charging around $25,000 because I had directly paid for the big ticket items - cabinets, backsplash, countertop, sink, faucet - which all cost more than the allowance. Also, the City of Naperville takes the opportunity to enforce new requirements whenever anyone does work needing a permit, so I had to pay for special child-safe electrical outlets, an outlet at the end of the counter peninsula, and inter-connected, wired smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors throughout the house, and some work on the electric breaker panel, which cost more than $1000 additional. The worst part was how long this project took - we had our refrigerator hooked up in the eating area, but we had no stove or sink except for the laundry room sink for 6-8 weeks and I was not prepared for this - the contract said a total of 2-3 weeks completion time but that is just not realistic, even for a medium-size kitchen. I only had a couple of cosmetic things I asked for changes to, and Jody took care of them. I am completely happy with the kitchen! They did a beautiful job.

"Jack (Jacek) and his team were great to work with. We had torn out everything in our old basement to fix leaks. Jack helped with everything from planning out the layout to completing every detail. Framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, cabinet installation, window installation and more, his crew worked hard to do it all and their work is excellent. We really had no issues, when we had any questions Jack addressed them right away and the whole process went very smoothly. No extra costs from what he estimated except for a couple things we chose to add on. I would definitely work with JK again, we love our basement!!"

"Salvador and his team are great. His not only our contractor but also our advisor helping us visualize our new kicthen with renderings. We came up with 3 different designs and decided to move forward with the boldest option and removed the wall between our small kitchen and dining room. Sal's team helped us nail down the materials and cabinet selection. The contruction took a a bit longer than we thought and Sal's team has been up front with timeline and kept us up to date with progress and potential issues. After we removed the wall, we didn't install another beam and keep the ceiling flush. It really opens up the space and leaves us much more space for a large kitchen island. It's a dream kitchen for our family and we cook almost daily, so it's important space for our home. Sal's team executed the plan really well and paid attention to details. They kept the rest of the house generally clean and always cleaned up at the end of each day. The final product turns out excellent!"
