"The tank was at that time when for maintenance purposes it needed to be drained. With lockdown and some family returning home, the system was getting more of a workout. I called (Wed) and they were able to set an appointment for me the next time they were in my area (following Mon). I was scheduled for the 2nd stop, but unfortunately, due to an emergency call, I was bumped to the following slot. Upon arrival, the technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He was set up and underway shortly after arriving. The process and clean up were effortless on my part, the technician took care of everything. They have done multiple services for and to my septic system over the years. I highly recommend them."

"Needed an urgent septic tank pump. My last pump was 9 years ago (I know should have done it sooner). Checked Home Advisor and they offered Raider Rooter. Reviews were good, so I gave them a shot. Very happy I did. Price was lower than what I paid 9 years ago. Jessica was prompt in contacting me and very nice. They came the next day and were here when promised. Very professional and quick. And they didn’t BS me on anything. Super happy with guys that came who were very nice. They ticked all the boxes for me and will use them again in four years."

"Danny's was referred to us by our realtor for a pre-purchase septic inspection and cleaning. Appointment set for 2 business days later and they called and arrived when expected. Technician explained septic tank caps were crumbling due to age and additional concrete poured over tank years ago (but under soil so not visible). Need new tank but otherwise working. Quoted price for new tank so we were informed what we were getting. Will call them back when time to replace."

"The price for their services pumping my septic tank was extremely over priced the average was $265. I paid Meeks Plumbing $260.00 and they did a awesome job and educated me on my septic system. Rooter One quoted me$375 for the first 1000 pounds that was a rip-off"

"I called the main number and they couldn't provide an estimate, so they gave me the boss' phone number (954-861-9251) and he was super helpful.  I made it clear that I had gotten an estimate from another company and was simply making sure that I wasn't overpaying, and he said that he didn't care if I bought from him since he likes helping people.
Ultimately, he confirmed that paying $1300 to pull out the Titan, change the wiring and circuit breakers and install a new tank was a reasonable estimate.  His estimate was $1050, but he said that I'd have to separately hire an electrician - his guy could probably do the job for $100-$150.
He didn't have anything nice to say about Titan water heaters, and since I had already called them twice this morning I shared his very low opinion (and even some of his profanity).  He validated my decision to put in a tank since there is plenty of space and they generally last longer.
I hope I don't ever need to hire another plumber, but if I do I'm going to call Milan and Son...or West End (who is working in my garage as I write this and will get a separate review in a few hours)

"I couldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of the work and the communication established with this father-son team. They gave me a clear estimate, agreed that I could easily move down from an 80 gallon tank to a 50 gallon tank to save some money, and all the work was performed with the highest level of professionalism. I will definitely use this company again for any and all plumbing needs that I will have in the future."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

The best times of year to empty or pump a septic tank are spring and fall. Many professionals recommend spring because the ground has thawed, making the tank easier to access and the waste less likely to be frozen. Pumping before summer also helps avoid conflicts with vacations or outdoor gatherings. Fall is another great option, as contractors may be less busy, and servicing the tank can reduce the risk of overflow from winter and spring precipitation. While summer is also a suitable time, winter is generally not recommended due to frozen ground.

A well does not run out of water because the groundwater continues to refill with rainwater that seeps through the ground. If the well is too shallow or there is a drought, a well can run dry or be short in supply. It’s important to have a well deep enough to source enough water for your home’s use. Deeper wells tap into more groundwater reserves. If your well is not producing enough water, you may need to redig your well.

There are a variety of different types of septic systems that can work in your home—such as conventional anaerobic systems, chamber systems, drip distribution systems and mound septic systems. All of them work using natural processes to break down solid waste and effectively treat wastewater without needing to be connected to a city sewer system. Which type of septic system you need will depend on characteristics of your property like how high the bedrock is or groundwater table is. Different types of systems come at different costs to install.

Many variables, such as home size, type of engineered system, the material used, soil conditions, and water usage, dictate how long your system will last. On average, most homeowners find that their system lasts 15 to 20 years, though it’s not unheard of for them to last up to 40 years with annual and preventative septic maintenance.

Trenches are typically 12 to 24 inches deep and 8 inches wide. However, the required depth depends on the specific project and local ordinances. For example, a French drain may need to be 18 inches deep, while a water pipe might require a depth of 24 inches and a drainage pipe 36 inches. Your city or county may have specific regulations, so it's wise to consult with an excavation professional to determine the correct depth for your project.
