"He put in 3 different new outlets for me and replaced one of the bad ones in my backyard. He is very professional. He showed up on time. He did deliver what he promised me. He cleaned up after he finished the work. I am very happy hiring him to do my project. I will definitely recommend him to anybody who needs to find a good reliable electrician."

"Outstanding. I noticed the other day that my front porch light had dropped out of the recessed receptacle and was hanging by its wires. I quickly contacted several electricians from Angie's list and only heard back from two of them. Both were pleasant and helpful. One could not get to me for about 7-9 days. The other (Phaze Electric) had me on their schedule the next day. Jerome showed up early and quickly assessed what was needed. He obtained the necessary part from Lowe's and was back in a flash to remove the old housing and install the new one. I also used Phaze Electric a couple of years ago to hang ceiling fans on my back porch and they did an excellent job then, too. Phaze Electric will be the company I call in the future for all my electrical needs. I trust them to do a great job at a reasonable price."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Sanford’s humid climate and frequent summer storms can accelerate corrosion and moisture damage in outdoor wiring, especially in lakefront neighborhoods. Plan surge protection and generator installation before hurricane season. Outdoor electrical work is best scheduled during Sanford’s mild winter, reducing weather-related delays. Indoor upgrades, like panel replacements or smart home installations, are ideal for hot, rainy months when outdoor work is less practical.

Helpful?

In FL, install tamper-resistant outlets and GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas to protect children and pets. For homes with pools, ensure all electrical components are properly bonded and grounded, and consider pool alarms with backup power. Use weatherproof covers for outdoor outlets and select fixtures designed to resist both humidity and curious pets, especially in homes with screened patios or lanais.

Helpful?

In Sanford, electrical panels in older homes are prone to wear from humidity and higher power demands. HVAC systems, especially those running year-round, may need electrical attention. Pool and spa wiring, outdoor outlets, and GFCI-protected circuits in kitchens, bathrooms, and garages require regular checks. Lakefront or historic properties often need extra maintenance due to moisture exposure and aging electrical systems.

Helpful?

If your Sanford home experiences frequent outages, flickering lights, or unusually high energy bills, it’s time to schedule electrical work. Homes built before 1990, especially in historic districts, often need panel upgrades or rewiring. Plan major projects, like generator installation or surge protection, before hurricane season or during Sanford’s cooler fall and winter months for easier scheduling and less disruption.

Helpful?

In Sanford, address electrical issues right away if you notice persistent breaker trips, burning odors, buzzing sounds, or outlets that feel hot—these are urgent safety concerns. Schedule generator installation and surge protection before hurricane season starts. For older homes near Lake Monroe, prioritize panel upgrades. Less urgent projects, like adding dimmer switches or energy-efficient lighting, can wait for cooler, drier months when scheduling is easier.
