Benj Electric

If your job requires permit do NOT allow Benj Electric to work on the project before he gets the permit approved. I needed a panel for a mini-split, contacted Benji thru Angi's list. He charged $742 and came to my home to work on the panel. When I asked him about the permit, he said that he would request the permit afterwards, that it wasn't a problem (actually, it's illegal and the city can fine the contractor as well the home owner - I I've learned it the hard way). He then requested the permit, which was declined by the city for an issue was caused by another contractor. The problem was fixed and I contacted Benji asking him to reapply for it, I even offered him to pay any fees incurred. He kept pushing me around for a couple months, only excuses, "I'm busy", "Do it tonight", and so on, then he stopped communicating. Now I'm with an illegal electric panel. How to correct the mess he did? I may have to start from scratch, but this time hiring a reliable professional.

Ben installed 2 "fandeliers" in the bedrooms. He was on time and very professional. He took old fans to dispose of them. Very knowledgeable, answered all our questions. Friendly, personable and was able to do the job immediately. Will be hiring him again for our next project.

I hired Ben to install a generator plug and a few misc electrical duties. He was very professional, timely, and the work is unmatched. During one of the electrical outlet installs he brought parts of my home up to code which I greatly appreciate.
