CENTRAL FLORIDA DRYWALL & CONSTRUCTION
5.0
I am so grateful for Central Florida Drywall. We had quite a mess on our hands, and were suffering the consequences of not hiring a true professional. We wanted a passthrough cut through 2 offices, and while technically we had that, it was obvious it was done by someone lacking any craftsmanship. We needed someone to fix it. Noone likes to fix the mistakes of others, but Liam immediately came by to look at what we were dealing with. He was friendly and professional, and pointed out things that I hadn't even noticed. That's when I knew he was the right guy. He provided a quote and proof of insurance, and began work within a few short days. Communication was clear throughout the process, and his work exceeded my expectations. Because of Liam, a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. If you have drywall work that needs to be done, learn from my mistake, and hire the professionals at Central Florida Drywall to start

One Of A Kind Carpenter Inc
5.0
One of a Kind Carpenter was terrific. All the work was completed- even though we ran into some challenges, which they quickly resolved. I have an older house, and these were not anticipated with the job. I also added on to the project a few times, which they managed to do in a timely fashion, and the quality of work was impeccable. I would highly recommend him, and I will not use anyone else for my work now

AJ was the first person that I dealt with. He was fair and informative, but a little rough around the edges. He's busy, and I understand that, but there were a few times that my responses went unanswered for several days (one time was a few weeks, but that was, as he claimed, that my email went into his junk mail folder). Not trying to be a prude, but maybe you shouldn't bring out the curse words quite so often when talking to your customers. He never cursed "at" me, but was quick to use them often enough that it was a little uncomfortable at times. AJ also promised me that I would have a new roof within 2 weeks of signing a contract with him. After signing the contract I asked what was next and had to remind him several times that I had an active leak. Well, I was directed to call the scheduling person (Ita was her name but not sure how to spell it.... Sorry!). I called her and she was unaware of this problem. It just seems like the right hand wasn't talking to the left is all. Anyway, she was able to schedule me for close to 3 weeks after signing. She was very pleasant and helpful on the few occasions that I had to speak with her. The crew got there on the agreed date and were very professional and proficient at what they do. AJ promised that we would have an English speaking person there at all times. Well, this wasn't quite true, but we did have someone we could speak with at all times. Mike was his name and he, too, was very helpful and professional. He was available by phone if we ever needed him and stopped by a few times while the work was being performed. There was a lot of water damage on the roof and I am confident that the crew replaced all of it which has given me great peace of mind. The roof looks amazing and all of my neighbors have been impressed with it as well. I also dealt with the manager in charge of billing, Damaris. She was also incredibly nice as well as helpful and very quick to respond by email or phone with any questions that I had. This is a great company and really the only reason why I give this company less than an A in those two areas was because of the salesman. He seems nice enough, just a little unprofessional is all

We got three quotes for the re-roof. Total Home offered the best price and the best warranty. They also impressed us with a professional presentation that had all the necessary information we needed as a customer. They were able to work around our schedule. They were very punctual, everything went smooth and according to what had been explained to us. They provided photos of pieces of plywood that had to be replaced. Everybody we dealt with was very friendly and customer oriented. We will use them again for another job in the future

Total Home Roofing

Our first contact with Total Home was AJ - the Sales Manager. We were visited by three contractors and they all quoted very similar prices, but AJ stood head and shoulders above the rest. He provided incredibly detailed explanations of each and every facet of his proposal and why he made those recommendations. (I suspect that AJ was a hyperactive child, based on his energy level...) After his presentation we knew which contractor to select. We had full confidence in Total Home based upon AJ's presentation. The scheduler, Ita, called to confirm our color selections and to let us know how long before our job would be on their schedule - about three weeks. We were called the very next week and told we had been scheduled for the week after that! They were going to begin in less than two weeks! Ita told us that they would begin work at 7:00 AM on Monday. The crew was in our driveway before 7:00 AM but waited until the stroke of 7:00 before they went up on the roof to begin work. Their ladders were already in place at that point! I was told the dumpster would be in place for the debris early in the morning and it was set in place before 7:30. At this point we were already impressed. The project manager, Eddie, came by mid-morning to go over everything and to introduce himself. Total Home always has a supervisor who speaks English to make communication easier. Eddie was exceptional - just like his crew! The three person crew worked tirelessly throughout the day and into the night - even after dark. the weather forecast called for rain Tuesday afternoon, so they wanted to get as much of the roof covered with tar paper as possible before the rain fell. They succeeded in covering 99% of the roof before the rain began on Tuesday. They had already stripped off the old shingles and tar paper and they had inspected the underlayment and identified a few small areas that needed replacement by Monday evening . Our order included two sheets of plywood for such repairs and they did not go over this amount, so our final bill was exactly what AJ had quoted. Tuesday morning they were in the driveway before 7:00 AM and the hammering began at 7:01 AM. We left for the day and when we returned at 4:00 PM in the rain they had left and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The roof was almost totally covered in tar paper and all of the shingling had been completed on the front of the house. There was no leaking into the house as the heavy rain fell that night. Once again the hammering began promptly at 7:00 AM on Wednesday. The work was complete shortly after Noon, the area around the house was swept with a magnet and most (but not all) nails had been removed from the yard, and they left. An hour later the overflowing dumpster was removed. Eddie visited before the crew left and explained what inspections still needed to be completed and made note of our payment preference. By the end of the afternoon I had gladly paid for the work completed with such skill. In the few days since the work was completed we have received several inquiries about the quality of the work done and so far I have three referrals going to AJ and Total Home Roofing. They are by far the best roofer we have ever heard of

This is an income property that I own in the Tuscawilla area of Winter Springs. I am always concerned with researching my products well and do not use the cheapest parts or service but rather look for the best value/quality proposition. After researching shingles, roofing installation, building codes, and obtaining quotes from my top 4 installers, I received quite the education. Each installer had a slightly different take on what Florida building codes required which caused me to look in to it more and ask probing questions. My sales person, Alex, At Total Home Roofing didn't pretend he knew an answer if he didn't and researched my questions quickly verifying the latest FL building code requirements. There was no hard sales pitch and the presentation was thoughtful and well prepared. Alex presented me with a folder showing Angie's List reviews, Proof of Insurance & Liability Coverage, etc. I didn't have to ask for anything. They had already thought of what questions I would have about the company and cleanly presented them with no fuss. There were several weeks of delay before starting but Alex informed me of the general time frame before my commitment. After about 3 weeks, the on site supervisor called me to let me know they were starting and statused with me about the job. They took about 2 days to complete the job. They used 30lb felt vs. 15lb quoted by some other contractors at a higher price. They also used the newest/proper nails for code and correctly assessed roofing installation methods for varying roof slopes. Two sheets of plywood are included in the quote for redecking but they only used one. Some companies did not include wood cost and charge you separately later depending on how much they use. This would be ok if their price had been better but it wasn't. A dumpster was placed in the driveway so you have to make sure no cars are parked there during installation. They did leave behind a sheet of plywood laying flat on the lawn which would kill the grass. I asked them to come back and get it and I believe they did. They also knocked the coaxial cable running from the dish off. I will have to resecure that to the side of the house. They tell you that they will not re-aim a dish so you have to plan on fixing your satellite reception after if needed (this is typical of everyone I interviewed) Payment was not collected until installation was completed. I loved that they accepted credit cards without a surcharge or penalty. I could not see that they baked this in to the price elsewhere either as they were the most competitive and highest quality option. This allowed me to rack up some points! Overall, I would highly recommend Total Home Roofing. Although I didn't use them, I would put Winter Park Roofing as my runner up from the bids. Don't forget to get a new quote on your insurance! Total Home and Winter Park offered an included wind mitigation / roof inspection post installation. You will save money on insurance. If you have an income property, you can also depreciate this asset

Total Home Roofing was professional from start to finish. Our initial face-to-face contact was with Alex Norris. Alex was professional, personable, and very responsive. He provided the initial and final quotations very quickly. The job began approximately three weeks after I signed the contract. I was told by the office that a dumpster would be placed in our driveway as early as 6:30 AM on a Monday morning and you could almost set your watch by when he arrived. The crew arrived about an hour later. Every worker was very courteous. Our project supervisor was Julio Garcia. Julio is a busy man but he nonetheless was always responsive, even when I sometimes had to call him while he was still home very early in the morning or in the evening. And right when you'd least want it to rain, when the roof was most exposed, guess what? It rained, not a little rain but a LOT of rain that went on for maybe 12 hours, like a deluge at times. I came home that evening and saw that we had a leak. This was when things were all undone, there were no shingles yet. I called Julio that evening and he was here at the crack of dawn. He assured me that the ceiling would be fixed and it was. I was soon contacted by a drywall company that was willing to come out at 7:30 AM and they did an excellent job. Hey, stuff happens. Julio said they'd make it right and it was, without delay. Eight sheets of plywood were needed to replace damaged decking from prior leaks with the old roof, mostly in the valleys. We had had a fair amount of damage done by squirrels to our 2 x 6 rough-cut cedar fascia. Julio found the matching wood and I was very pleased, even impressed, with the carpentry work the crew did.I also thought the charges for the extra work done was fair and reasonable. With rain knocking them off the job for about a day or so, they still got the job done by late Friday. Every day they went around the entire house picking up debris, especially any nails. It has been a couple of weeks, and we've had no tires punctured by stray nails. The Friday after the job was done, a very courteous person came out to do a Wind Mitigation Inspection. This service was included in the contract. Before that week-end was over, he had emailed me his report, including a bunch of photo's that I was able to send on to my insurance agent, who told me that I'm going be saving about 35%, over $1,000, on my homeowners insurance. (Mind you, we had a 26 year-old, albeit tile, roof. I learned that insurers don't like roofs over 25 years old.) By the way, I went with the peel-and-stick underlayment over the entre roof. I thought the added cost, $910, was very reasonable for the extra protection it provides. In summary, their price was very good compared to the others I had gotten. The service provided by everyone (even the subcontractors for the drywall and wind mitigation inspection) was excellent. And we're very pleased with the finished product. What more could you ask for? I recommend Total Home Roofing for whatever your roofing need is
