"Quality Work By People Who Care" Remodeling, Framing, Drywall, Painting and more..... We Work Third Shift! Residential / Commercial. Licensed and Insured. 24 hours service. Free estimates provided (verbal)

"Dwight from Cornerstone Construction is the REAL deal! I am probably one of the pickiest people when it comes to contractors. I have never liked a single one, but Dwight is absolutely wonderful. They have remodeled our entire kitchen (removed our whole old kitchen and replaced it with a brand new kitchen including appliances, exhaust, backsplash, etc) - it looks perfect, which I NEVER say. I have no conflict of interest....I am tired of contractors who don't do a good job so when I found Dwight, I was ecstatic. I have used his company for the build out of my medical office and always refer our friends and family to him."

"Kurt the electrician, does EXCELLENT work. We used him repeatedly for several jobs and planned to continue to have him as our professional electrician for life. Then a curious thing happened. We had another job about 2 years ago, one for which he had given us a bid, but were unable to reach him since Feb of 2016. We received a text message from the company on Feb 16th, 2016, which stated that he had been delayed working on some out of town jobs. I tried again, a few times after that to see if he had returned, but there has been no response. Thus from my interaction at least, Current Energy, seems to be out of circulation in this neck of the woods. Such a shame! He is a very, very, very good electrician, dependable, courteous, detailed, cleans up after the job, returns if something is wrong, and is competitively priced -- not the highest or lowest in pricing, but right in the middle. Yet his work is superior, and he could charge more if he wanted to. We miss him. Thank you for your interest in my commentary."

At Happy Homes of Jax., Inc. We take a lot of pride, not just in our work but, also in our business. We are Sub-Contractors not General Contractors. We now accept financing options at this time. We accept all major credit cards, cash & checks.

"Merrell was a very nice guy who came off as able to do just about anything. After we signed a contract and the work started, first payment made, we started to notice he had bought material far in excess of what was needed (insulation, tile pieces, sealant). Additionally, he was very wasteful with buckets of mortar. He also rushed work as in trying to seal grout before it had fully cured. In regards to his wood work, I am looking at a fireplace mantel with several uneven cuts. He never completed the framing in of the bathroom window so will need to hire someone else to do that. He had us schedule the shower glass people prior to his completion so they were unable to measure and had to come back another day. Most days he worked 4 hours or less, so lots of disruptions. Help from the homeowner was needed on several occasions, though he didn't ask for it but he was getting bogged down. In the roughly 100 hours he spent on the projects, there was a lot of down time. His crew was working on another project that seemed to be a distraction for him. Overall, the projects are now left unfinished and looking for another contractor to reliably complete them."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

If you’re replacing an old fixture with a ceiling fan, you usually won’t need a permit, but if your electrician runs new wiring for the fixture, you likely will need a permit. Building permits are necessary in most municipalities if you’re making changes to your electrical system, so even if you have partial wiring run to the area and need new wiring installed for added functionality, you’ll probably need a permit. Your electrician should be able to let you know if you need one, and they’ll typically file the paperwork for you.

To convert a ceiling fan to wireless, you’ll need to install a canopy module to access the lighting and fan controls. Many options are available, all of which help you control specific elements of your ceiling fan, so you have plenty of choices depending on your needs.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

Ceiling fans provide a number of advantages for your home. They help circulate air throughout your home to avoid stagnant environments, and they can help lower utility bills if they keep you from switching on your air conditioning. Between built-in lighting and modern styling, ceiling fans can also add aesthetic appeal to your space.

Coffered ceilings often come with additional embellishments and accessories, including tin panels, medallions, trim, molding, recessed lights, and finials. Whether you’re looking for a simple grid pattern or want an elaborate, decorative ceiling with all the bells and whistles, there are plenty of options to choose from.
