If you want to have an EV charging station installed in your home you cannot go wrong with American Electric. We where put on the install schedule 2 hours after sending in the required photos and the charger installed within 24 hours later. Avery and Landen arrived on time and finished in 1 hour. The station looks like it has always been there with no hint on an recent construction. Will use them in the future if the need arises.

They took care of the job and did it right

American Electric was very punctual and professional. They worked hard and kept us in the loop. The estimated time needed to upgrade the panel and outlets was 6-8 hours. We had no power. They finished in a record 5.5 hours. They even moved and put items back in place as necessary. We highly recommend American Electric!

It went well. The guys showed up on time and got to work. They ran into some unexpected issues (it's an old house, that will happen), but stuck with it until everything was sorted out. I've used this company several times in the past and I've always had good service with them.

I had my circuit breaker panel replaced with generator plugs installed. Scott and Eddie did an excellent job. They were professional, courteous and knew what they were doing. Three other companies were contacted..came out ..promised an estimate and never delivered. One had a similar name. Thanks to Ryan who advised my panel was a hazard...the other companies never mentioned this to me. AMERICAN ELECTRICAL is the company that will respond and complete the job.

wonderful and quick job

Ricky was here for a full day with his super-efficient partner Carlos and came back for nearly another full day with his new helper Michael. They replaced numerous canister lights with LED canisters throughout the house, some with dimmers, and replaced other incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs. They also installed under-cabinet LED strips with dimmers in the kitchen. The strips require some sort of transformer box, which Ricky cleverly hid in closets so as not to take up needed cabinet space. Ricky is extremely knowledgeable and helped us with choices for different kinds of bulbs, including LEDs for chandeliers. He has a great sense of humor and a can-do attitude. HIs co-workers are equally customer-oriented. It is a pleasure to deal with such excellent service providers.

We wanted the system to be on an "easy standby" so that we could switch to the backup quickly in the event of a power outage. We spoke to Ryan first to Ryan who determined our needs, which included a new electrical panel. He quoted us the price and we agreed. On the scheduled day of installation Dwayne Current and Don Show arrived exactly on time. They worked steadfastly throughout the day and completed the job in about seven hours. The major "surprise" was that the new panel did not fit in the space of the old one. That added a couple of hours to the process. When the installation was completed, Dwayne spent a good hour with us answering questions and giving us step by step instructions on engaging and dis-engaging the system. He also gave us guidelines for what electrical systems we could power simultaneously with the backup generator, maintenance activities, and general proper care of the system. We were very impressed with his expertise and even more impressed with his ability and willingness to leave us with all we need to know to use the system effectively. We are very pleased with the interaction and would gladly engage the company again for other electrical issues.

From the time of the initial call to completion was 1 hour. They took care of all the permits and notifying JEA that the work was completed and inspected. I will call them again for electrical work.

It went great. No problems. If we need an electrician, this is the company we will use. The person who installed the new panel box absolutely new what he was doing. He was very professional and arrived on time. The owner of this company is a wonderful man and makes sure that the customer is pleased with the job performed.

We had issues in the kitchen and while they were there they also checked off some problem we were having with the power. He told me what I needed to do to fix it. I don't even think he charged me for that, but as I said we like them. We've checked and seen better prices, but not as good service, we're willing to pay for the good service.

Too long ago. Can't remember

Not so good. I paid over $200 for nothing. The electricians either did not know how to work on a historic home or just simply "dilly dallied" sense it was the end of the work day. Was not pleased.

Had to come out twice. Had thought original whole house surge protection should have handled this since was done in the past year or 2. Fixed this quickly, however, went out again and had to have them come recheck it shortly after repair.

It went very well. I was pleased with the service, and calling them again for more work.

There was one electrician and it took maybe an hour and a half. He left the area clean. I like that they are local and family owned.

Great!!!! Totally satisfied. It was expensive but the service and the product were both top notch.

Two technicians came same day requested. They went right to work and the job was completed in less than an hour.
