We specialize in all things home! Installation of fixtures and lighting Painting Pressure Washing Flooring Door and Window Installation and so much more.

"It didn't; he started a job, we paid about $1,200, then left us in worse condition than before he began. For 2 months now, the wood & materials purchased still sit outside my home, subject to various weather conditions. The latest communication from him (via text message), 3 words, "on my way", after a no show, I replied asking apparently you're not going to make it today, will you be here tomorrow, that was 2 day's ago. Now I have, what looks like, a construction zone in my home, for the holidays; for my family & friend's to see. So disappointed, especially since we started this journey Oct. 19th!"

"Wish I would've hired Green Energy Spray Foam Insulation years ago for my home insulation needs as they went above and beyond exceeding my expectations! Our house get too cold during the winter, and hot as an oven during the summer. We called Green Energy Spray Foam Insulation. I spoke with Camille and explained the situation. I was interested in having the walls and attic insulated. Next Day, Mr. Touma arrived and very straight forward with what needed to be done. No up-selling or hidden costs, and even assured attic insulation alone would satisfy my needs sparing me the extra cost of wall insulation! This company put in time and effort and accomplished outstanding results as the temperateness in the house felt wonderful allowing us to sleep much more comfortably. As for their crew, they were awesome. Do not hesitate to call them. Highly recommended."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Ceiling fans are very often worth the investment because they improve comfort in your living space and help reduce utility bills. In the late spring and early fall—and even in the summer in some areas—homeowners with ceiling fans can often get away with open windows and fans, which can cut down on cooling bills and also reduce wear and tear on the HVAC system. Over time, ceiling fans can pay for themselves by saving you money on electric bills and air conditioner repair and maintenance.

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

There are several types of ceiling fans, each with their own purpose or advantage. A standard ceiling fan works for most spaces, but low-profile ceiling fans are better suited to rooms with low ceilings. You can also find ceiling fans with lights, energy-efficient ceiling fans, and retractable blade ceiling fans.

The ceiling box should have an inscription stating that it supports the operation of the ceiling fan. If it’s not included, you should purchase a fan-rated junction box and a fan brace so you can install the box between joists, where it’ll provide the most support for the fan’s weight.

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.
