"With Tom away on contract, the city had recently cleaned their main lines with something they call a "Turtle" causing the main lines running from the house to filled with their slug and backwash, UCK!  By late Sunday night, the drain lines running from the dishwasher, washer and all the toilets would not drain making it impossible to use the restrooms. EEK! Monday morning after calling several plumbers, H & H said they could be there within a few hours and they were.
Within a short period of time, Mr. James Postle, the service providing plumber, had cleared all the blockage, tested all the lines and was busy replacing a seal on a leaking toilet. Unfortunately, one of the bolts was rusted solid and had to be taken out, the hard way before he could even start the replacement. One of my other concerns was that we might have a leak in our main pipes. So while I had him there I ask him to check for me. James checked this for me but took it one step further. He showed me where our meter was, how to properly access and read it, as well as, how to tell if there was a leak in the future.
Finally, he cleaned up his mess, every bit of it. Thank you James
His prompt service, professionalism, politeness, cleanliness and attention to detail will assure that I will call H&H in the future.

"Mr. Rooter of St. Augustine is punctual and fast. He found the problem right away, fixed it. The price was reasonable. He pulled the carpet and followed the trail of moisture to the sink, turned on the faucet and knew exactly that it was a slow leaking drain basket in the kitchen. When I called he was here within 30 min."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

The spin cycle on your washer should initiate draining, but if you still find leftover water in the washing machine tub, you may need to drain it manually. To manually drain a washing machine, you’ll need to turn off the power supply and locate the drain hose, filter, and pump. Open or disconnect these parts and let the water drain into a bucket.

In the majority of cases, homeowners insurance will not cover a main sewer line root clog. The reason is that most insurance companies consider tree root damage to sewer lines as common wear and tear, which is also preventable. However, you may be able to buy optional add-on coverage, such as "service line coverage" or "sewer line endorsements," that would protect against root damage to your sewer line.

Drain fly problems can go away on their own—but only if the insects find the environment inhospitable. Those with a minor infestation can simply flush their toilets and run their faucets more frequently to flush out the flies and larvae. Others will have to deep clean their drains and set up traps.

Sometimes, the drain is just too clogged—thanks, stubborn hair and soap scum. In this case, you’ll need a more powerful drain cleaner than you can DIY safely at home. But this doesn’t mean you have to choose a traditional drain cleaner.

You can find biodegradable drain cleaners at your local home improvement store or online for those drains that need a little more oomph

While on the hunt for a formidable drain cleaner, the best options are non-chemical clog solutions that combine enzymes and bacteria.

Pouring drain cleaner down a vent pipe isn’t recommended. First of all, unlike a clog in a sink or bath caused by such material as soap scum build-up, toothpaste, and hair, clogs in a vent pipe are likely the result of debris from trees or even an animal stuck in the pipe. Drain cleaners won’t be able to eat through this kind of material. The cleaner will only become clogged in the vent with the debris, causing even more problems.
