"Ricky came to do a simple repair to the drain in the kitchen sink . Took him a few minutes. He asked if I had any other concerns since you have to pay hourly rate might as well make use of the time. The faucet on the sink needed minor fix so he fixed that as well. Nice guy. I would hire him for future work."

"?????????? Absolutely Outstanding Service! I can?t say enough good things about Family Plumbing! I had a major drain line breakage, and they came out right away to diagnose the issue using their camera inspection equipment. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and honest ? no guessing games, no upselling, just clear communication and quality work. They walked me through everything they saw on the camera, explained the cause of the problem in detail, and gave me options that fit my budget. The team worked quickly and left everything clean and tidy when they were done. It?s rare to find a company that truly cares about both their work and their customers, but Family Plumbing exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone in Jensen Beach or the Treasure Coast looking for reliable, trustworthy plumbers. I?ll definitely be calling them again for any future plumbing needs!"

"When I got the cost of repair (before committing), it was a bit of a shock. I did get a discount though, which reduced the price to a little over $900. job involved replacing four lavatory shut-off valves and installing two faucet sets (which I already had). The guy also took care of a minor drain leak. Reasonably fast work (second day since his truck-stock had been depleted), cleaned thoroughly when done, was pleasant and paid attention quite well. Recommend if price is not a problem for you, although I don't really know what the going rates are. I always did my own plumbing in the past but couldn't manage this one on my own. "This company came out on a Saturday for 12 hours, 6 hours on Sunday. Found major leak. Replaced bad plumbing in entire house, repaired leaks. They double checked all their work, cleaned up after themselves, were very professional. They worked safely, quickly and with integrity. They came back today to replace a bathtub. This is the best company weâ ve dealt with. Jamie, Joe and Alex are the best. Thanks guys."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

You can often unclog a garbage disposal in less than 10 minutes, though sometimes you might need longer if you’re unsure what’s causing the clog. For minor clogs, consider plunging the drain, flushing the drain with baking soda and vinegar, or using an Allen wrench to free the clog. If the clog is more severe, contact a local plumber.

Knowing the signs can alert you to a clogged drain line. Clogs cause slow drainage or cause no drainage (if there’s a complete blockage). You may also notice foul odors, gurgling noises, water backing up in other appliances on the same line, or a poorly flushing toilet. If you experience any of these issues and think your line might be clogged, call a plumber.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.
