"Everything went extremely smoothly. After speaking to Ron on the phone, I already could tell that he had an eye for details that were missed by other plumbers we had talked to. It was reassuring to work with someone who had dealt with complex jobs in the past - most of the other folks we spoke with looked like this was a job they didn't even want to dare touch.
Ron arrived on time and got to work. They removed our old toilet (which was in the way), they drained and removed the old hot water heater - which was a marathon effort. They hoisted back up the new one, installed it, repaired and re-affixed the trim around the access door, re-installed the new toilet we had bought and cleaned up very thoroughly.
We will definitely be working with Ron for our future plumbing needs and I would highly recommend him!

"Tom replaced my kitchen faucet and two bathroom faucets and did an absolutely excellent job! He was extremely professional and the cost was much lower than what I expected! While here he also took care of a slow drain with my master tub and it now drains perfectly! I would highly recommend him to anyone with any plumbing needs!!"

"I needed to have this project done and Ben Franklin was the first one to contact me. There was one other company who contacted me and I thought he was going to put in a quote, but he didn’t show up. Ben Franklin fixed the problem in a timely and professional manner and now it’s an insurance issue because of the water damage."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

If your washing machine drain is clogged, that isn’t a good sign. Unlike toilet drains or kitchen sink drains, there isn’t matter that is easily broken up with a plumbing snake, and more care is required. If you’re in an old house or have mineral-rich water, there could be a buildup inside the pipe. Either way, if the blockage isn’t obvious and doesn’t dislodge with a snake, you need to call a pro—otherwise, you risk damaging integral plumbing.

Chemical drain cleaners can work to clear clogs in pipes, but their use should be approached with caution. These harsh chemicals can damage pipes over time, and they can also harm the environment. Use them sparingly and consider alternative methods such as using a plunger or a drain snake. If you have concerns about a persistent clog, it's best to consult a professional who can safely and effectively address the issue without causing further damage to your plumbing system.

Yes, drains are one common entry point for water bugs. However, water bugs may enter your home through various locations including doors, windows, pipes, and vents. Water bugs are drawn to the dark and moist atmosphere drains provide, and can easily find their way into your home through sewer drain pipes. You can stop water bugs from entering through drains by regularly cleaning your drains and repairing faulty drainage systems.

Baking soda and vinegar is a great solution for cleaning your sink drain; in fact, it’s our preferred method. Here’s how to unclog your drain with baking soda and vinegar: Pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar, and let the two bubble for 15 minutes. Then rinse out with boiling water. This method is much safer than using a chemical drain cleaner gel.

In some cases, operating a snake can damage your drain and pipes. This depends on the overall condition of your pipes and how gently you operate the auger. For instance, older galvanized pipes covered in zinc are susceptible to scratches when using a drain snake. Additionally, it’s common for newbies to apply too much force when extending the snake, leading to scratches and related damage. You can also crack the porcelain with an electric auger if you’re snaking a toilet drain. If you’re using a manual snake or auger, the risk is minimal.
